Jamie Redknapp has predicted how the Premier League title race will be decided, with Arsenal potentially having a big advantage.

The north London side have been exceptional since the turn of the year in the League, with Mikel Arteta’s side yet to lose and winning all but one game, that exception coming on the road against Manchester City in a 0-0 draw.

With Arsenal scoring the most goals out of any team in the Premier League and conceding the fewest, there’s good reason to believe that the Gunners could finally end their 20-year wait for a top-flight title, with things looking very healthy for the north London giants.

And for Redknapp, the title could be decided by one factor that Arsenal already have a massive advantage with.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp suggested that goal Difference could be the defining factor this season on who wins the Premier League title, something Arsenal are leading by some considerable difference.

Having a difference of seven on Manchester City and ten on Liverpool at the time of writing, the Gunners’ form in 2024 could give them a major boost in the Premier League title race, with that extra goal difference more or less an extra point for Arsenal.

Redknapp said when asked how the Premier League title race will unfold and how goal difference can play a part in deciding a champion: “For me, it is the best title race, this one just feels extra special.

“I have a feeling it might go down to goal difference. All three teams are at home on the last day of the season. It’s going to be an amazing end to the season.”

Arsenal know they have a big advantage in title race

Arsenal’s form in 2024 has set the final weeks of the Premier League up for something quite special, with three teams all potentially going for the title in what will be a dramatic end to the year.

Arteta’s side have found the sweet spot with having the meanest defence in the league whilst also having a free-scoring attack who will find a way to beat any opponent through quality and football intelligence.

And having such a good goal difference is a big advantage for Arsenal, who as mentioned, essentially have an extra point on City and Liverpool in the race for the title, one that the Gunners should feel they can win.
