Arsenal are interested in signing Quinten Timber.

According to 90min, Arsenal are considering launching a move to sign Quinten Timber, who is the twin brother of Jurrien Timber.

Having spent £38 million to secure to the services of Timber from Ajax in the recent summer transfer window, the Gunners are now keen to snap up his brother, who Feyenoord themselves paid £8.7 million for in the summer of 2022.

Like his brother, Quinten Timber has plenty of potential. The 22-year-old midfielder is a key player for Feyenoord. He has started every Eredivisie match for the Dutch club this season and has scored one goal and provided five assists.

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell is certainly keen on bringing Timber to the Emirates Stadium. Speaking on The Highbury Squad, he has previously said, “[Jurrien] Timber’s brother, he is a dog in that midfield. He is somebody who could really get around the pitch, put tackles in and make life difficult. Again, a player like him would be a perfect squad player for us. And make it younger, that’s the other thing.”

Quinten Timber would be a smart signing for Arsenal

Mikel Arteta is certainly keen on bolstering his midfield contingent in the near future, and several potential options are currently being considered by the club. This plan of action makes a good deal of sense, as Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny, and Jorginho are all coming towards the end of their playing careers.

Timber would be an exciting addition to the Arsenal squad. If he could look anything like as good as his brother did at the start of this season, prior to his ACL injury, then the Emirates Stadium would take to him very quickly.

Feyenoord, for their part, will expect to turn a hefty profit on Timber if they were to sell him to Arsenal. Given that the Gunners need to prioritise strengthening in other areas of the pitch, Timber could be a target for the summer, rather than in the upcoming January transfer window.

Arsenal aren’t likely to be the only Premier League club interested in the Dutchman. Having Jurrien Timber already at the club could give them an edge in turning his head, though.
