It’s Chelsea vs Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, and talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has named his combined XI.

The Gunners, for once, are expected to go into the game as favourites. We’re on top of the Premier League table and have been absolutely sensational so far this season.

We’ve been so good that even Spurs fan O’Hara believes almost every Arsenal player is better than their Chelsea counterparts.

Combined XIs just before a big game are always controversial, and O’Hara’s team this time is no different. However, for once, Arsenal fans will not argue with him.

The Spurs-supporting pundit is adamant that only one Chelsea player would get into the side if there was a combined XI – Thiago Silva. He believes every other position will be filled by an Arsenal player.

He said on talkSPORT: “The team that Arteta has put together is different class. I look at Arsenal’s squad, I look at their players, does any Chelsea player even get into their side?

“I’ve got one. For me, Thiago Silva is the only player who’d get into the side. Gabriel, I’d take out.

“You can’t say Havertz because for me [Gabriel] Jesus is way better.

“Out of Mason Mount and Gabriel Martinelli, at the moment I’m taking Martinelli, Bukayo Saka over Raheem Sterling. Martin Odegaard, who gets in ahead of him? He’s fantastic. Cesar Azpilicueta has been a fantastic player over the years but I think Ben White is ahead of him right now.

“Everyone’s talking about Chelsea, who have spent a lot of money, £275 million. They should be challenging for the title. Look at Arsenal’s team, it’s a better side.”

The Insider’s View:

It’s not often that O’Hara has nice things to say about Arsenal, but we’ve been so good this season that he doesn’t really have a choice now, does he?

The Thiago Silva pick over Gabriel is arguably acceptable considering that the former is an absolute icon of the game. He is a world-class defender, and our Brazilian centre-half surely looks up to him as well.

However, apart from Silva, there’s not a single player who’d make it into our squad. That shows how far we’ve come since this time last year – Mikel Arteta deserves humongous credit.

Hopefully, we can continue our good run and beat Chelsea on Sunday.
