The Summer transfer window has been open for a while now but Arsenal have nothing to show just yet. The Gunners are expected to bring in at least five new faces to the Emirates, but Edu and Mikel Arteta have been taking their time.

That, however, hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from linking us with a new player almost every day. Arsenal are said to be interested in signing at least 30 different players this summer, but the likelihood of closing many of those deals are slim at best.

We’ve rated Arsenal’s chances of signing 30 players we’ve been linked with over the last few weeks, and there are some very interesting names on the list.

Rating every Arsenal transfer rumour

Goalkeepers

David Raya: 2/10

The Telegraph reported back in January that Arsenal could make a move for Raya this summer, while Charles Watts of Goal also claimed that the Gunners really like him. (YouTube) However, with Brentford back in the Premier League now, it will be extremely difficult to lure him away.

Unai Simon: 3/10

La Razon Revealed a couple of months ago that Arteta had instructed Edu to sign the Spanish international this summer. Simon is a very promising young goalkeeper, but he will be extremely expensive, and after his horrific error at the Euros, we’ll be surprised if Arsenal go in with an offer for him.

Andre Onana: 8/10

Goal revealed about a month ago that Arsenal are seriously interested in signing the Ajax goalkeeper this summer. That claim has been backed by multiple outlets, and although things have been quiet recently, there’s still a decent chance of this deal happening this summer.

Aaron Ramsdale: 8.5/10

The Sun revealed a few weeks ago that the relegated Sheffield United shot-stopper is a very real target for Arsenal. Gunners supporters don’t really want Ramsdale, but the rumour mill has made us believe that he could well become our new goalkeeper soon.

Defenders

Patrick van Aanholt: 1/10

The experienced Dutchman is a free agent now and it made sense for Arsenal to sign him considering that we only need a backup at left-back. Football London claimed a few weeks ago that van Aanholt could well be an option, but the Gunners seem to have found their man elsewhere.

Josh Doig: 4/10

Arsenal were credited with an interest in the Scotsman back in April and a move made sense. A young defender with a very bright future is a worthy investment, but it is unlikely now – unless Edu decides to sign him and send him out on loan immediately.

Miguel Gutierrez: 1/10

The Athletic claimed recently that Arsenal really like Gutierrez, who burst onto the scene at Real Madrid at the end of last season. He is viewed by many as the next big thing at the Bernabeu, and that makes this deal almost impossible for us, even though he is unlikely to become a regular in Spain any time soon.

Nuno Tavares: 9.5/10

Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of the young Benfica defender. A deal is said to have been agreed between the two clubs, and if Fabrizio Romano is to be believed, he has even boarded his flight to London to complete his move.

Emerson Royal: 5/10

Mundo Deportivo revealed a few months ago that Arsenal are keen to sign the Barcelona defender. Emerson has two right-backs ahead of him at the Camp Nou and it is very likely that he will be sold. However, Barca’s asking price could complicate things for us this summer.

Zeki Celik: 4/10

The Evening Standard revealed about a month ago that Arsenal are interested in the recently-crowned Ligue 1 champion, and he would be a really good signing. However, after a poor Euro 2020, it’s unlikely that the Gunners will make a move to sign him.

Mert Muldur: 7/10

The Athletic revealed last week that the Gunners have been watching the Sassuolo right-back for a while now. He is one of the options to replace Bellerin, and he is arguably the likeliest candidate to fill that role at the Emirates this summer.

Tariq Lamptey: 3/10

The Mirror reported a while ago that Arsenal are interested in signing the former Chelsea man and multiple reports have backed that claim over the last few months. However, the young defender’s season-ending injury makes it a huge risk for us to sign him this summer.

Ben White: 9/10

The Englishman is Arsenal’s priority at the moment and talks are said to be going well. Football London’s Chris Wheatley even claimed yesterday that the ‘deal is all but done’, and it is very likely he will be a Gunner after the Euros.

Edmond Tapsoba: 2/10

TuttoMercatoWeb revealed about a month ago that Arsenal are really pushing to sign the 6ft 4in Bayer Leverkusen defender. Kicker later backed that claim and suggested that a swap deal with William Saliba going the other way is also a possibility. However, it looks very unlikely now as the Gunners are on the verge of completing a deal for White.

Sergio Ramos: 0.5/10

Goal shocked the world today by claiming that Arsenal have asked to be kept in the loop regarding any talks for the Spaniard. Ramos is a free agent now after leaving Real Madrid and he is a very attractive option. However, he’s 35 now and will most likely demand ridiculous wages. That should push the Gunners away from any potential deal.

Midfielders

Albert Sambi Lokonga: 9.5/10

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the young Belgian midfielder for a while now and we’ve reportedly made progress in negotiations. La Derniere Heure revealed a few days ago that a deal has been agreed between the Gunners and Anderlecht, and it looks like it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a Gunner.

Yves Bissouma: 6/10

The Brighton and Hove Albion star has been linked with a move to the Emirates for over six months now. It is no secret that Arsenal like Bissouma, but it doesn’t look like he’s on top of our wish list. That doesn’t rule out a deal completely, but if it is to happen, it will only be done at the end of the transfer window.

Ruben Neves: 6/10

The Times revealed last month that Arsenal are really interested in the Wolves star and The Daily Mail backed that claim by saying that the midfielder has even told his teammates that he wants to move to the Emirates. Neves is a brilliant player, but he, like Bissouma, isn’t on top of Arsenal’s shortlist, and a move could only happen at the very end of the window.

Sander Berge: 3/10

This is one transfer rumour that has been going around for months for no real reason. The only link here is that Arteta’s assistant, Albert Stuivenberg, worked with him in the past, and that has been the driving force behind the reports. It is extremely unlikely that the Gunners will make a move for Berge – unless the Blades’ asking price drops drastically.

Manuel Locatelli: 7/10

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali confirmed this week that Arsenal have tabled an official offer for Locatelli and that really excited Gooners. Juventus are reportedly leading the race for him, but the Old Lady don’t really have a lot of money this summer, and that could potentially open the door for us in the coming weeks.

Renato Sanches: 6/10

90min revealed recently that Arsenal have contacted Lille over a move for the Portugal international this summer. Like Bissouma and Neves, he isn’t on top of Arteta’s wish list, but if the Gunners fail to secure their top targets, Sanches could well be an option.

Denis Zakaria: 1/10

The Borussia Monchengladbach star has entered the final year of his contract and he is expected to be sold. 90min revealed that a swap deal between Granit Xhaka and Zakaria was a possibility, but with the Arsenal man heading to Roma, this is not going to happen.

Nabil Fekir: 3/10

Charles Watts of Goal revealed a few months ago that the former Lyon man is Arsenal’s preferred number 10 option if a deal for Martin Odegaard becomes impossible. Fekir is a phenomenal player, but the Gunners are more likely to pursue a deal for someone much better.

James Maddison: 7/10

The Daily Mail revealed last month that Arsenal genuinely believe that we can sign the Leicester City star this summer. Maddison would be an incredible signing, but he is set to cost over £60 million. That could make him a bit too expensive for Arsenal, but there’s still a chance.

Martin Odegaard: 4/10

The Norwegian was a real star on loan last season and Arsenal went into this window with him as our priority target. However, The Athletic revealed that it is looking very likely that he will stay at the Bernabeu this season, and that has forced the Gunners to look elsewhere. It is unlikely at the moment, but with Real Madrid, anything is possible in the final few weeks of the window.

Attackers

Ivan Toney: 3/10

The Englishman was a real star in the Championship last season. He scored a staggering 31 goals and provided 10 assists, and that reportedly caught Arsenal’s eye. However, with Brentford back in the Premier League, a move for him will be extremely difficult this summer.

Manor Solomon: 1/10

The Shakhtar Donetsk star has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal for almost six months now. Israeli outlet One even claimed that Edu was preparing a £17.2 million bid for Solomon two weeks ago, but that turned out to be untrue. A move for the winger is not necessary this summer and we don’t expect it to happen.

Domenico Berardi: 1/10

Gazzetta dello Sport revealed a few weeks ago that Arsenal are interested in signing Berardi this summer. The Italian is a very good player, but the Gunners already have two left-footed right-wingers, and that eliminates the need for him.

Kaio Jorge: 4/10

CalcioMercato revealed a few months ago that Arsenal are keeping an eye on the Santos teenager. Jorge is one of Brazil’s finest young talents at the moment and we all know how incredible Edu’s connections are back in South America. If the youngster is on the move, there’s a good chance that Edu will be interested.

Alexander Isak: 5/10

The Swede is reportedly Arteta’s top striker target this summer and he impressed everyone at the Euros with his performances for Sweden. The Gunners would love to sign him, but Isak just penned a new deal and his release clause has shot up to a staggering £77.5 million. That makes this deal unlikely this summer, but if both Lacazette and Nketiah are sold, we could break the bank for his signature.
