Arsenal snatch victory in Serbia
Arsenal overcame 10-man Belgrade last night to snatch a late 1-0 win in the 85th minute. Olivier Giroud scored a lovely over-head kick after Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott crafted a neat 1-2 to penetrate the Belgrade defence.
Ramsey and Alexis Return
Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez are expected to be back in the side for the Everton game on Sunday. Wenger rested the pair for the Watford game after the international break.
Welbeck waits for scan
Danny Welbeck is still waiting to find out the results of his scan after limping off during the Watford game. The striker pulled up clutching his hamstring and will be hoping he isn’t out for too long.
Wilshere says criticism is unfair
Jack Wilshere has said that he feels he is back to his best. He also said that he feels the criticism of Arsenal after their defeat to Watford was unfair.
“As a player if your attitude is questioned, it’s horrible. I look around this team and you can’t question our character. People try to put us down, they always have. I don’t think the comments were justified. When we look back at the game we look back at ourselves and what we did wrong. I don’t think we can look back and question our character.”
