Jack Wilshere – Bournemouth
Jack started on the bench for Bournemouth’s home game against West Ham this weekend. He came on with just five minutes to go but was still able to influence the game. West Ham had levelled the game at 2-2 with seven minutes remaining but Bournemouth need to win games if they are to avoid relegation. In his short appearance the midfielder had one shot on target and helped to create the third goal of Josh King’s hat trick.
Wojciech Szczesny – Roma
The on loan ‘keeper kept his 12th clean sheet for the season as Roma beat struggling Palermo 3-0 away. He made a number of fine stops before Roma took control of the game in the final 15 minutes. His distribution has improved in his time in Italy and during this game he completed 85% of passes. Roma remain in second despite some disappointing results in the cup competitions of late.
Daniel Crowley – Go Ahead Eagles
Dan played the full match of his side’s 3-1 home loss to PSV. He did help to bring the scores level at 1-1 however with an assist for Manu’s goal just after half time. Following that PSV took control of the game and Dan was not able to make much more impact. Go Ahead Eagles fall to the bottom of the Eredivisie.
Krystian Bielik – Birmingham
Krystian played the full game of the 1-1 draw with Cardiff in his third appearance for the Championship side since joining on loan. He put in a solid and comfortable performance and had a strong pass completion which he will hope will grant him more starts in the future.
Marc Bola – Notts County
After playing just over an hour last week, Marc completed the full game of Notts County’s 2-1 win over Hartlepool.
Matt Macey – Luton Town
Not such a good week for the young goalkeeper as his side lost 2-0 to Stevenage.
Gedion Zelalem – VVV-Venlo
Gedion came on just after the hour mark with VVV 4-1 ahead against Fortuna and that is how the game finished.
Takuma Asano – VfB Stuttgart
The forward was given just over an hour in the 1-1 draw at home to Bochum on Friday night. Stuttgart remain top of the German second division by two points.
Joel Campbell – Sporting CP
The winger was granted a brief spell at the end of Sporting’s 4-1 win against Tondela for his first minutes in some time. He came on as a substitute with five minutes to play but could not force himself on the game in that time.
Jon Toral (Rangers) was not part of the match day squad for the game against Celtic. With Rangers new manager now in place it will be interesting to see if he has a place in the side.
Chuba Akpom (Brighton) was an unused substitute and Calum Chambers (Middlesbrough) missed the 2-0 FA Cup loss to Man City.
