Vivid Racing’s Absolutely Insane BMW M2 SEMA Build

Here at Vivid Racing, we are massive BMW fans. We absolutely love the new M2 and we’ve been working hard with Agency Power to develop lots of new parts for it. This year for SEMA we decided to build a BMW M2 for Auto Artistry with many of the parts we’ve been developing. The resulting car is nothing short of amazing. The car was sponsored by Agency Power and Rays Wheels, and it was a Rays Wheels feature car. For those of you who weren’t able to check it out at SEMA, here’s a rundown of the full build:

On the exterior, we used a full Agency Power AeroForm kit which includes the front lip, side skirts, and rear diffuser. We also installed a set of Agency Power AeroForm canards. The stock hood was replaced with an Agency Power vented Carbon hood. The factory grills were replaced with IND Carbon Fiber units. On the sides of the car are some Auto Tecknic carbon fiber fender trim pieces and some IND color matched reflectors. We cut out the factory roof and replaced it with a carbon fiber roof from RKP. We also added the Agency Power carbon fiber roof spoiler for a little bit more aero. Around back we replaced the stock trunk with an Agency Power carbon fiber CSL trunk and we also added an M4 GTS rear spoiler. We wrapped the whole car with a satin 3M wrap. Shoutout to Auto Bahn Tining for the matte clear PPF wrap protecting the whole car.

In the handling department, we used some Ohlins TTX dampers built by Performance Shock with camber plates and swift springs. For sway bars, we went with Dinan and used SPL sway bar end links. For the brakes, we went a little over the top and used the Brembo GTR CCMR carbon ceramic brakes. In the near future, we will be installing an OEM BMW M4 strut bar brace.

Inside the car, we decided to use factory BMW M4 GTS seats and an M4 GTS roll bar. We figured the rear seats weren’t necessary so we deleted them using an RKP rear seat delete. For steering wheel, we used a custom flat and bottom top wheel with some Agency Power carbon fiber shift paddles. We finished off the interior with some Status racing harnesses and full M Performance carbon trim.

BMW did an excellent job on the engine performance, so we didn’t go crazy inside the engine bay. For the intake, we used the Eventuri carbon fiber intake and their carbon fiber engine cover. The exhaust system is compromised of a Dinan HFC downpipe and a full Akrapovic exhaust with carbon fiber tips. Keeping everything cool is an intercooler, radiator, and oil cooler from CSF. To top everything off we used a Dinan Performance tune.
