The 7th annual Targa Trophy Euro vs JDM Festival was held on August 12, 2017 which went from LA to Las Vegas. The beautiful back roads going through the mountains of Big Bear, traversing down into the desert, and through Death Valley never disappoint. This was similar to last years event we did in our McLaren 12C here. We cruised the trip in our McLaren 570S with our supercharged Toyota Tundra following. Trailing the car from Phoenix to LA, we made a stop at McLaren Beverly Hills for a quick vehicle inspection and spotted the awesome Pagani Huayra. The start of the rally was at McKenna Porsche where a large group of nearly 100 cars turned out. From the most insane BMW widebody vehicles to the luxury and powerful Lamborghinis, it was a great mixture of Euro and JDM. We stopped for some photos at Dumont Dunes which is located just outside of Death Valley. As a strangler, we came to the finish line at Top Golf located at the MGM Casino. With a bogey time of 5 hours and 30 mins, we were not that off at just over 6 hours. Another great Targa Trophy event in the books! Check out the video and photos.
