The Houston Astros’ Ronel Blanco no-hit the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday night for a 10-0 win at Minute Maid Park.
Blanco struck out 7 and issued a pair of walks (both to George Springer), tossing 105 pitches to make history.
It was the Astros 17th no-hitter, and the eighth against the Blue Jays. Blanco’s gem is the earliest no-hitter on the calendar, topping Hideo Nomo’s April 4, 2001 no-no by three days.
