The Best Matched Betting Sites Reviewed – Our Top Picks for 2017

What is the best matched betting site?

We’re looking to settle that debate once and for all, with this comprehensive and in-depth matched betting site comparison.

In fact…

We’re fairly confident that it will be the most in-depth comparison of the best matched betting sites that you’ll find anywhere on the internet in 2017.

Read on to find out what we think of the best free matched betting sites and the best paid ones too.

Best Paid Matched Betting Sites

We’ve split this post up into two clear sections for you.

Firstly, we start with the best paid matched betting sites.

These are the sites where you have to pay a small monthly subscription, but profit levels are typically way higher for users than those on the free sites.

Oddsmonkey

Oddsmonkey is our number one recommendation for matched betting as we believe they offer exceptional value-for-money and an all-round top service.

We’d say they’re undoubtedly one of the best matched betting sites for beginners thanks to their incredibly simple tutorial guides and videos.

They also have a huge range of tools which are what make them our favourite matched betting site.

From making the most of football matches, accumulators, horse refunds, games of tennis and more, they seem to have a tool for everything – and we believe more additions are in the works too, so watch out for those!

It takes most people just one completed offer (approximately five minutes work) to make back their £15 subscription fee – which includes all of their tools and forum access.

There’s absolutely no add-on costs with the site, which is why we believe they’re the best.

They’re currently the only product on Guide to Matched Betting that we award a perfect 100% rating to.

Profit Accumulator

Costing £22.99 for new members, plus an additional £15.99 for their additional ‘match catcher’ and ‘acca catcher’ – alternative products are included for free with Oddsmonkey – Profit Accumulator is a significantly more expensive alternative for your matched betting needs.

If you’re wanting a busier forum to chat on then Profit Accumulator has the most members to talk to, as they’re currently the biggest matched betting site.

We’re not sure if they’ll hold onto that accolade as their competition will push them extremely hard throughout 2017.

We’ve been disappointed with the Profit Accumulator service in the past for multiple reasons, and would therefore not recommend them.

Profit Maximiser

Profit Maximiser is the site where Profit Accumulator founded/copied their idea from.

Whilst it wasn’t the original matched betting site, it was the one that really took matched betting into the spotlight.

With great offers posted every day, Profit Maximiser is a definite contender for the crown of ‘best matched betting site’.

Whilst we believe Oddsmonkey is a stronger choice for your regular matched betting needs, we would give Profit Maximiser a big edge when it comes to making profits on casino offers.

We’re subscribed to both sites, in order to ensure we have healthy income streams coming from both bookmakers and casinos.

The PM forums are ran through Facebook, so if you prefer to use the social networking site to stay on top of offers and discuss strategies then it’s a really good choice for you.

There is no ‘subscription’ terms with this site; you can trial them for £1 for a fortnight, or purchase the product outright (one-off fee, lasts for lifetime) for £116.40 (£99 + VAT).

The downside to Profit Maximiser is that the site looks a bit messy and even a bit like a scam – it most definitely is not!

If your priority is making money – rather than a fancy website – then Profit Maximiser is for you.

They do have a range of other products to further enhance your matched betting capabilities, although these will cost you extra.

We awarded Profit Maximiser 4.8 stars out of 5. Sign up here to get access to their £1 trial.

Profit Squad

Profit Squad is another £15-per-month option, although the annual price gets you a huge discount as it’s just £99-per-year if you pay that way.

Whilst it lacks the tools that Oddsmonkey and Profit Maximiser offer, the site is very clean and they have a handy bet tracking feature which means you won’t need a spreadsheet to track your bets – it’s all automated, calculating your profits and monitoring your open bets.

‘Dutching’ is extremely popular on Profit Squad, which is an alternative to our preferred method of backing and laying.

They have downloadable dutching calculators which allow you to profit on any offer – even if free bets aren’t available.

This strategy is really unique to their site so if you’re looking to do something a bit different then this is what we’d recommend.

Unfortunately we can’t reveal too much about their dutching – it’s their main USP and therefore has to be kept top secret!

We awarded Profit Squad 4.1 stars out of 5.

If you sign up to Profit Squad today through this link then you’ll be able to get full access to their site for 14 days, for just £1.

Best Free Matched Betting Sites

We do not recommend the use of free matched betting sites due to increased risk of being gubbed.

Because thousands of people will be jumping on exactly the same bets as you, your account will be more likely to be grouped with the other bonus hunters fairly easily by sports traders at the bookies.

However, whilst we recommend paid sites for exclusive offers, better tools and ultimately significantly higher monthly profits, we’ve still rounded up the best free matched betting sites below:

Matched Betting Blog

The Matched Betting Blog is one of the busiest free matched betting sites out there at the moment.

They are very effective at posting daily offers, but they do not have the tools required to efficiently make high profit levels.

When using free matched betting sites, our readers found their average profit to be just £300 a month.

With paid sites (and the tools they offer) this average rises to over £1,000 a month.

This is a £700-per-month difference for just a monthly cost of around £15 if you use Oddsmonkey, or an initial one-off cost of £116 if you use Profit Maximiser.

For anyone that doesn’t have a brain for maths, this is an annual difference of a whopping £8,120 profit (when using Oddsmonkey on a monthly subscription).

We would only recommend the Matched Betting Blog to those looking to spend less than one hour a week matched betting, or for those that aren’t interested in making the big money.

We also don’t like the misleading profit levels shown on their site.

At the time of writing this, it says the guy behind the site made £18,639.94 profit in 2016.

This is completely doable. We don’t dispute that. We reached these levels ourselves.

However…

When analysing their publicly available ‘profit log’, you can see that they don’t ever place a single mug bet. Not one.

They also jump on every single offer that is available each day.

With these two factors in mind, there is no way they’re actually making these profit levels from matched betting without multi-accounting – the majority of their accounts will have been gubbed a long time ago.

We suspect they’re reporting profits on offers that they’re not actually completing, as multi-accounting is not something we would recommend or seriously accuse anyone of doing.

It’s outright dangerous to your account health to go for profits the way they do without ever giving value back to the bookie.

With this in mind, we awarded the Matched Betting Blog 1 star out of 5.

Money Saving Expert Matched Betting Forum

We don’t want to repeat ourselves too much, but for mostly the same reasons as above, we don’t recommend Money Saving Expert for prospective matched bettors.

If you’re really wanting to seriously make money online then these free sites just will not cut the mustard.

This is for the reasons of account health and long-term profits.

The tools are just not available on any free site to fully optimise your income and efficiency.

They do have an oddsmatcher (a tool for finding close odds matches between bookmaker and exchange) on the MSE forums which make them ever-so-slightly more valuable than the Matched Betting Blog in our opinion.

We awarded the Money Saving Expert matched betting forum 1.5 stars out of 5.

Conclusion

Our favourite site for matched betting is Oddsmonkey (sign up here for a free trial) and our favourite site for casino offers is Profit Maximiser (available through this link).

We don’t advise using any of the best free matched betting sites for two main reasons:

You don’t get access to the tools that help you make the real money.

All information is entirely public, meaning every bet or offer will likely be placed by tens of thousands of other people at a minimum on exactly the same odds match.

It won’t take long for your accounts to get shut down when you’re completing exactly the same offers as thousands of others – at exactly the same time too.
