Midfielder Aman Verma Joins Torquay

Vanarama National League club Torquay United have secured the services of Midfielder Aman Verma from rivals Kidderminster Harriers on a loan deal until January 2nd, 2016.

The 28-year-old graduated from the Leicester City youth academy and after failing to break into the Foxes’ first team, he joined Redditch United. This move was followed by another spell with the Foxes, but once again he failed to nail down a spot in the first team. He spent his time on loan spells with the likes of Crewe Alexandra, Histon, Kidderminster and Darlington before he was eventually released by Leicester in the summer of 2011.

Since then he has played for various lower league clubs and also in the Maltese top-flight with Floriana before returning to Kidderminster last season.

Verma has already made 14 appearances for Kidderminster this season and is a player with versatile abilities that will certainly help Torquay United, who are currently placed in the National League relegation zone.

The signing was aided by Torquay supporters who have made donations to a ‘Players Fund’ set-up by the club in July.
