National League Betting Preview Saturday 18th November 2017

The Vanarama National League continues apace on Saturday 18th November with plenty of competition for places at the top and we’ve taken a look at some of the key matches with our non-league weekend football betting preview.

AFC Fylde vs Torquay
AFC Fylde were fairly unlucky to lose on the road at Aldershot last weekend but they’ve been much better on their own patch. They’ve beaten Wrexham and Barrow here and kept three clean sheets in their last five at Mill Farm. Fylde are Priced as the Even money favourites with 888Sport to continue their fine run of form here.

Torquay have been linked with Rickie Lambert this week but the club has been quick to quash those rumours. Gary Owers is still on the search for a new striker after watching his side score just twice in five matches. They are unbeaten in three of their last four matches on the road and appear to be better set up for playing on the road. They are 23/10 with Boylesport to grab a draw here.

Sought-after striker Danny Rowe scored last weekend and is the kind of striker who scores in streaks. He is the favourite to score during the 90 minutes here and is priced at Evens by Bet365.

Bromley vs Chester
Bromley are riding high in the National League and have surprised many sides this season. They come here off the back of a narrow success against struggling Guiseley and will fancy their chances against Chester. They are priced at 21/20 with Betfred to take another three points here which could move them into the top four.

Despite some initial improvement under Marcus Bignot, Chester still sit in the relegation zone and will be smarting from their derby defeat against Wrexham. They are without a win on the road in their last five matches but did hold Eastleigh and Tranmere to creditable draws and will be hoping to do the same here. 888Sport have priced the draw at 9/4.

Josh Rees has netted in each of Bromley’s last two home matches and he is a decent price to net again here. Bet365 have priced him up at 4/1 to score during the 90 minutes.

Dagenham vs Guiseley
Dagenham have been in dreadful form recently and John Still must find a way of turning their form around. They do still possess the best home form in the league with six wins from nine and are set to go off short-priced favourites here at 8/15 with Betfred.

The Daggers have conceded just a single goal in their last three matches at Victoria Road and even beat (then) league leaders Macclesfield and emerged with a clean sheet. With Guiseley short on goals on the road, Under 2.5 goals is priced at 9/11 with 888Sport.

Guiseley are riding the crest of a wave after beating Accrington in extra time in midweek and will come here full of confidence. They are unbeaten in four of their last five away matches and are priced at 3/1 with Bet365 to take a point back to West Yorkshire.

Eastleigh vs Barrow
Despite an abundance of talent in their squad, Eastleigh have been treading water and are sat in the bottom half of the table. Richard Hill has bemoaned the club’s injury crisis and is hoping his side can find some consistency during the run up to the festive period. The Spitfires are priced at 11/10 with Paddy Power.

Ady Pennock oversaw a victory in his first match in charge but couldn’t follow it up with a second success as his side crashed at home to away specialists Macclesfield. He’ll be hoping his side can nick something on the road here. They have the worst away form in the league and have lost their last two matches 3-2. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 5/6 with 888Sport.

Ben Williamson has eight goals to his name so far this season and has been one of the more consistent performers in Eastleigh’s XI. He’s 6/4 to score anytime with Bet365.

Gateshead vs Tranmere
Steve Watson has made the ideal start as Gateshead coach with his side keeping three consecutive clean sheets and securing seven points from a possible nine. They are facing a Tranmere side who have competed in the FA Cup replay just 72 hours earlier and will be hoping to capitalise on their weariness. Despite this, Gateshead are the outsiders for this tie and are 9/5 with Boylesports.

Tranmere are also on an upward trajectory and Mickey Mellon has started to turn things around at Prenton Park. They’ve only lost one of their last four matches on the road and they will be fancied by many at 7/5 with Betfred.

It had been a while since the prolific Danny Johnson had netted but he grabbed the Heed’s second goal last weekend and is priced at 2/1 with Bet365 to get on the scoresheet again here.

Hartlepool vs Aldershot
After a ropey start to the campaign, Hartlepool fans have plenty of reasons to be optimistic. The Monkey Hangers are unbeaten in the National League since the 23rd of September and are closing in on the play-offs. They’ve picked up just five points from nine at home but have conceded just twice during that time and will be confident of getting something here. They are the 8/5 outsiders with Paddy Power.

Each of the host’s last two matches here have ended 1-1 whilst Aldershot haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last five matches in all competitions. Both Teams to Score? Yes is 4/5 with Boylesports.

Shamir Fenelon is the club’s top goalscorer and netted the opener against AFC Fylde last weekend. He is a nice looking 12/5 to find the net during the 90 minutes here.

Leyton Orient vs Dover
After losing to Ebbsfleet last weekend, Leyton Orient dispensed with the services of Steve Davis this week. The O’s are slipping down the table and can’t seem to keep clean sheets and whoever takes over has a huge task on their hands. Justin Edinburgh and Martin Allen have been just two of the names linked with the vacancy but they are likely to enter this game managerless. Orient are 7/5 with 888Sport for this clash against high-flying Dover.

The hosts have kept just two clean sheets since the end of August both of which came in the FA Cup against Dagenham. Dover have plenty of firepower and this could be a high-scoring affair. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 10/11 with Boylesports.

Ryan Bird is the second highest scorer in the league and should get back to scoring ways here. He is priced up at 7/4 with Bet365 to grab his 10th of the campaign.

Macclesfield vs Boreham Wood
After two consecutive defeats, Macclesfield got back to winning ways with a straightforward 2-0 victory at Barrow last weekend. John Askey will be hoping his side can make it consecutive successes in the National League and are 13/11 with 888Sport to grab all three points here.

Boreham Wood are having a decent season and sit just outside the play-offs. They have progressed to the next round of the FA Cup and will be confident of getting something from this match. They have drawn four of their last five matches and its 11/5 with Betfred for this match to end square here.

Dan Holman following his cup exploits with a goal at the weekend for the visitors and he is priced at 9/4 with Bet365 to continue his fine run of form.

Maidstone vs Solihull Moors
Maidstone arrive here in fabulous form and will be full of confidence as they take on out-of-form Solihull Moors. The hosts sit in the play-offs and haven’t conceded in any of their last three matches. They are understandably odds-on favourites for this clash with Betfred making them 4/6 to take all three points.

The Stones have conceded just a single goal in five matches with Guiseley the last side to find the back of the net at the beginning of October. Solihull Moors have netted just nine times on the road and it’s 21/20 with Boylesports for Both Teams to Score? No.

Joe Pigott is understandably the favourite in the goalscoring market and the former Southend man has been priced at 13/10 with Bet365 to find the net during the 90 minutes.

Sutton vs Halifax
Sutton are embarking upon an eight match unbeaten run with Paul Doswell’s side wrapping up a comfortable 2-0 success at Solihull Moors last weekend. They had drawn their three previous National League matches and will have been glad to get back to winning ways. They are 6/10 with Boylesports to collect another three points here.

Halifax’s defence hasn’t been effective in recent weeks although they kept a clean sheet last weekend. They have been conceding far too many goals on the road and this could be another high-scoring affair. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at Evens with Paddy Power.

Sutton’s Craig Dundas was amongst the goalscorers last weekend and he could find the net again here. He is hoping to grab his 6th goal of the season and is 7/4 with Bet365 to do so.

Woking vs Maidenhead
After a magnificent start to the season, Woking have gone off the boil in the recent weeks but should be buoyed by their thumping 3-0 success over League One Bury in the FA Cup in midweek. The Cards are usually a very effective home side but surprisingly slipped up against Guiseley last time out. They’re the 7/5 favourites with Paddy Power to take all three points from this contest.

Maidenhead are sat comfortably midtable and are also looking to bounce back from a defeat after losing heavily to Gateshead. They have a mixed record on the road but are unbeaten in their last three matches and can be backed at 23/10 to take a point from this contest.

Jamie Philpot was amongst the midweek goalscorers and arrives here in decent form. He is priced at 7/4 with Bet365 to add another goal to his tally.

Wrexham vs Ebbsfleet
After going two matches without a victory, Wrexham got back to winning ways last time out in their hotly contested meeting with Chester. A solitary strike was enough for the welsh side and they’ll see this home match as a good chance to double up. They are the 23/18 favourites to succeed here.

Ebbsfleet start the day in 10th position and would be much higher in the table if they hadn’t drawn ten times this campaign. They’ve only lost three times this campaign and will be tough to beat. Paddy Power have made it 2/1 for this match to end all square once again.

Danny Kedwell is extremely handy at this level and he’s started to find his feet again in the National League. The striker is 7/4 with Bet365 to find the net during 90 minutes here but he’ll have to find a way to break down the Wrexham defence.
