National League Betting Preview Saturday 30th September 2017

The National League is back for the final Weekend in September and the table is still staggeringly congested. Another round of fixtures are upon us and we’ve picked out some of the key battles.

Barrow vs MaidstoneLive Game Odds
It’s not been a smooth ride for new Barrow boss Mickey Moore who watched his side battle but come up short against Sutton last weekend. The 44 year old will be hoping to get back to winning ways at home and his side are 11/10 to Paddy Power to collect three points.

The Cumbrians shipped three goals last weekend and they come up against a Maidstone side who aren’t shy in coming forward. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at Evens with Bet365.

Maidstone are on a four match unbeaten run and they will be hoping to extend that here. They have taken all three points back from Macclesfield and Eastleigh fairly recently and will be aiming to make a third consecutive win on the road. They are priced at 21/20 with Boylesports to do so.

Barrow fans will be pleased to see striker Byron Harrison back in action and the former Cheltenham man notched twice last weekend. He is the 21/20 favourite to score during the 90 minutes here with Bet365

Bromley vs TranmereLive Game Odds
Tranmere’s wretched run of form continued last weekend as they were undone by a classy Wrexham outfit and the Merseysiders are vastly underperforming this season. Despite this poor form, they have been priced up as 23/20 favourites with Betfred for this trip to Bromley.

The hosts haven’t been in sparkling form but have won four of their last five home matches and will prove tough opposition for Mickey Mellon’s men. They are 28/13 with 888Sport to add another home victory to their tally here.

The visitors have netted just once in five matches and there are real confidence issues in front of goal. They’ve netted just twice on the road all season and they both came against struggling Solihull Moors. Under 2.5 Goals is priced up at 8/13 with Boylesports for this encounter.

5/2 looks like a big price with Bet365 for Bromley to keep a clean sheet here and considering Tranmere’s lack of potency, it looks a decent option.

Dagenham vs TorquayLive Game Odds
The table remains congested and as a result Dagenham have dropped down to 7th but if results go their way, they could be top by the end of the day. The Daggers are priced at 3/8 with 888Sport to get the job done here.

John Still’s men will be expected to overcome bottom club Torquay and they haven’t been goal-shy in recent home matches netting at least three goals in four of their last five matches and for added value, punters may wish to look at Dagenham to Win & Over 2.5 Goals which is 10/11 with Boylesports.

New Torquay boss Gary Owers was very unhappy with his side’s performance in their 1-0 defeat to Macclesfield last week and demanded an instant improvement. They are 13/2 with Betfred to spring a surprise here.

Dover vs Solihull MoorsLive Game Odds
Dover are just a point off top spot and are back at home to face struggling Solihull Moors. They are priced up at 8/15 favourites with Bet365 for this tie.

The Kent side haven’t been as consistent as last season on their own patch with just two wins in their last five matches here but did hit four past Chester without reply last time out. It’s 6/4 with Betfred for them to cover the -1 handicap

Solihull Moors have had a poor season so far but can take confidence from their 2-2 draw against Dagenham at the weekend. They’ve picked up just a single victory on their travels this season (against bottom club Torquay) and are a chunk 5/1 with Boylesports to get the job done here.

Richard Brodie is back in the National League and is aiming to give Solihull Moors some added firepower. He is 10/3 with Bet365 to get off the mark for his new club.

Eastleigh vs ChesterLive Game Odds
Eastleigh are putting together a nice run of form and overcame in-form Hartlepool last weekend. They have become increasingly difficult to beat and will fancy their chances here in Hampshire. They have been priced up as 6/11 favourites with 888Sport.

Marcus Bignot got an instant response from his side as they ran out 2-0 winners against Maidenhead but their recent away results have been fairly uninspiring. Taking a point from this game would be deemed a success and it is 14/5 with Betfred to end all square.

There are some very talented players in the Eastleigh squad and the recent addition of Gary McSheffrey was particularly eye-catching. He netted in his first home game for the club and is 8/5 with Bet365 to do the same here.

Ebbsfleet vs HalifaxLive Game Odds
Ebbsfleet finally got their second victory of the season with a narrow 1-0 success at Boreham Wood. It was a second successive clean sheet which pleased manager Daryl McMahon and they are aiming for another big performance here. The hosts are 21/20 with Betfred to wrap up another victory here.

This match appears to be much tougher though with in-form Halifax making the long journey south and looking to continue their winning run. Billy Heath’s men were keeping clean sheets but both teams have found the net in four of their last five matches and it is 8/11 with Paddy Power to land again here.

Matty Kysolo continues his good run of form and is 10/3 to score anytime for the visitors here with Bet365.

Gateshead vs Boreham WoodLive Game Odds
The North East outfit have become a bit inconsistent over the last couple of weeks and they have only won once in their last five matches. However, they have still only lost once at home all season, winning four of six here. It’s no surprise to see them priced up as 5/4 favourites with Paddy Power here.

Boreham Wood failed to get on the scoresheet at the weekend against an improving Ebbsfleet but they do tend to cause sides problems on their travels. They’ve netted in each of their last five matches on the road and Both Teams to Score? Yes is 4/6 with Betfred.

Danny Johnson found the equaliser for the Heed at the weekend despite them playing 80 minutes with 10 men. He is 7/5 with Bet365 to find the back of the net again here.

Leyton Orient vs AFC FyldeLive Game Odds
It’s been a poor month for AFC Fylde who have lost all their early season momentum and slipped up again at the weekend. Manager Dave Challinor said he was angry after watching his side take the lead yet slip up to Woking at Mill Farm last weekend. They haven’t won in September yet but face an equally out-of-form side in the shape of Leyton Orient.

AFC Fylde are 12/5 with Boylesport to get back to winning ways here.

Leyton Orient have gone four games without a victory and Steve Davis needs to turn things round quickly as his side lose momentum on the top eight. They can take heart from their battling 2-2 draw with high-flying Aldershot and they are 10/11 to take all three points here.

AFC Fylde have kept just two clean sheets all season and have also netted in every single game so far. Orient haven’t managed a shutout in their last five and Both Teams to Score is likely to be favoured here at 4/7 with 888Sport

Macclesfield vs AldershotLive Game Odds
Macclesfield boss John Askey has been linked with the Port Vale job but remains at the National League club and insisted he is only focusing on his sides clash with Aldershot. The speculation doesn’t appear to have upset the players who have won three of the last four and are 8/5 with Boylesports to take all three points at the Moss Rose.

Macc’s home form isn’t as impressive as their record on the road and that will confidence to Aldershot who arrive off the back of consecutive away wins and are the 10/7 favourites for this clash.

Gary Waddock’s side have also kept three consecutive clean sheets on the road whilst Macclesfield also kept Torquay off the scoresheet last weekend. Under 2.5 Goals is 4/6 with Paddy Power.

Scott Wilson has netted three goals in his last three games and is in confident mood coming into this tie. He’s 21/10 to score during the 90 minutes here with Bet365.

Maidenhead vs GuiseleyLive Game Odds
Maidenhead came up against a side who were inspired by their new manager last weekend and slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Chester. At home, they’ve been much stronger and have won three of their last five matches here. They are priced at 7/10 with Boylesports to continue that terrific home form.

Since Paul Cox’s arrival, Guiseley have certainly tightened up and have drawn each of their last four matches. They aren’t known for their exploits on the road but they may be able to battle their way to another point and it’s 11/4 with Betfred for this match to finish all square.

The hosts have only conceded four goals in five matches whilst the visitors have been keeping things tight with just two goals scored and two goals conceded in their last four encounters. Under 2.5 Goals is 8/11 with Paddy Power.

Woking vs HartlepoolLive Game Odds
Woking have been in good form in recent weeks and they picked up a rare away win at AFC Fylde last weekend. The Cards picked up their third win in a row and are looking to carry that momentum into this match. The hosts are 7/4 outsiders for this clash with Hartlepool.

Craig Harrison’s side slipped up last weekend ending their fine run of form which has seen them climb up the table in recent weeks and they are 23/17 with 888Sport to bounce back from that disappointment.

Woking have been both scoring and conceding at home and three of their last five games here have featured three or more goals. Over 2.5 Goals is 10/11 with Boylesports to land again here.

Joe Ward netted one of the two goals at the weekend and has been in good form for the hosts netting in three of the last five games. He’s 3/1 with Bet365 to continue his run.

Wrexham vs SuttonLive Game Odds
Wrexham continued their fine run of form with a 1-0 success over Tranmere last weekend and they sit just a point behind their visitors going into this tie. The Welsh side are 6/4 with 888Sport to continue their upward momentum.

Sutton have been inconsistent of late but still manage to top the table with 22 points. They slipped up in their last away game at Woking but netting three times against Barrow should give them the confidence to kick on here. They are 8/5 with Boylesports to collect three points here.

Although Sutton are handy in front of goal, Wrexham have conceded just one goal in their last five games and the visitors may find them hard to break down. Under 2.5 Goals is 8/13 with Paddy Power.

The goals have been shared around recently for the home side but Ntumba Massanka has scored his fair share and is 21/10 with Bet365 to net again here during the 90 minutes.
