National League Betting Preview Saturday 23rd September 2017

The National League is back after a midweek break with all of the sides refreshed and ready to go! We’ve taken a look at Saturday’s fixtures.

AFC Fylde vs Woking
It’s all gone slightly sour for AFC Fylde since their bright start to the season and they have failed to win in their last four games. This looks a slightly easier assignment against a side who don’t travel well. The Lancashire club are 7/10 with 888Sport to collect all three points and get back to winning ways here.

The goals have been largely spread around in the squad but Henry Jones has been in decent form in recent weeks. The Welsh midfielder has Netted four times this season already and is 7/2 to score anytime with Bet365.

Woking arrive here in decent form having won four of the last five games. They have only managed a single clean sheet during that run and they need to tighten up at the back. Both Teams to Score? Yes is 4/7 with Bet365.

Aldershot vs Leyton Orient
Aldershot sit top of the table but it’s a very congested top half of the table and they cannot afford any slip-ups here. Chester and Dover have both left with points recently and that will give Leyton Orient plenty of confidence coming into this tie. The O’s are 12/5 with Betfair to pick up three points here.

Gary Waddock will be determined to keep the momentum going after two consecutive away wins and his side are priced at Evens with Betfred to make it four wins from five.

Despite their injury crisis, the hosts have conceded just two goals in five Matches and kept four clean sheets during that run. It’s 42/41 with 888Sport for Both Teams to Score? No here.

Scott Rendell is a veteran at this level and is always a threat, he’s the 11/8 favourite with Bet365 to scoring during the 90 minutes here.

Boreham Wood vs Ebbsfleet
The league is so tight at the moment and Boreham Wood sit in 11th place but are just three points off top spot. If they hadn’t slipped up against Maidenhead last weekend they would have been sitting top and they will be aiming to bounce back here. The hosts are the 23/20 favourites with Boylesports here.

There are always plenty of goals here and Boreham Wood have netted twice in three of their last four matches and are 11/10 with Bet365 to score over 1.5 team goals once again.

Ebbsfleet sit in 19th position having drawn nine of their eleven games so far this season and are finding it difficult to pick up maximum points. It’s 12/5 with 888Sport for this match to end all square.

Chester vs Maidenhead
Marcus Bignot is the new man in charge at Chester and he is determined to get off the mark at the first time of asking. December 17th was the last time that the club won in front of their own fans and he’ll be hoping to put that right. They’ve been priced at 2/1 with Paddy Power to end that club record winless streak.

Despite some spirited performances, it has been a tough few months for the Chester fans and they’ve become acclimatised to their side drawing at home. It’s happened in three of their last five and is 13/5 with Bet365 to land again here.

Maidenhead have climbed the table in recent weeks following three wins in their last four and they’re scoring plenty of goals. They’ve netted at least two goals in consecutive away matches and Over 2.5 match goals is 8/11 with Betfair.

Guiseley vs Dover
Guiseley have certainly tightened up since Paul Cox arrived at the club and they’ve drawn their last three matches. It’s 12/5 with Betfred to end all square again here as they welcome Dover to West Yorkshire.

The strugglers have conceded just one goal in three matches but worryingly they’ve only netted once during that period. Under 2.5 Goals is 5/6 with Paddy Power to land again here.

Dover sit 2nd and have kept back to back clean sheets on the road. They have a knack of picking up results on the road and they’re priced at 10/11 with Betfair to get the job done on their travels once again.

Giancarlo Gallifuoco has netted two in his last three and could strike again here. He’s an impressive 6/1 with Bet365 to net during the 90 minutes.

Halifax vs Bromley
Halifax have surprised many teams this season and Billy Heath’s side continue to pull up trees in the fifth tier. They currently sit 8th but would have been top had they not slipped to defeat at Dagenham last weekend. The West Yorkshire outfit are strong at home and can bounce back here 13/11 with 888Sport.

There have been at least three goals in three of their last four home matches and there is always entertainment at the Shay. Over 2.5 Goals is 5/6 with Betfred here.

Bromley have failed to win any of their last four away games but they have held AFC Fylde and Macclesfield during recent outings. They are 23/10 with Paddy Power to secure a point here.

Hartlepool vs Eastleigh
Hartlepool are in imperious form and have really turned a corner in recent weeks. The North East’s side recent upturn climb into midtable and they are 13/10 with Betfair to make it five wins from six.

Eastleigh are one of those annoying sides to face and make themselves tough to beat. They’ve drawn four of their last five matches and it’s 5/2 with Bet365 to end all square.

The hosts have conceded just twice during their last five games and will be aiming to keep things tight again. Eastleigh aren’t blessed with goals and it could be decided by a single strike. Under 2.5 Goals is chalked up at 8/11 with Boylesports.

Jonathon Franks is unstoppable at the moment and those who backed him at a chunky priced were delighted to see him get on the scoresheet against Leyton Orient last weekend. He is 5/2 this time around with Bet365 to strike during the 90 minutes.

Maidstone vs Gateshead
Maidstone are playing some nice football and they’ve picked up nine points from a possible nine. They have scored eight goals during that run and are full of confidence. They are 21/20 with 888Sport to make a fourth consecutive success here.

Gateshead make the long journey south for this one and a rare home defeat at Aldershot. The Heed haven’t been great on the road this season but have netted in three of their last five outings away from home and Both Teams to Score? Yes is 7/10 with Bet365

Zavon Hines has been a revelation in recent weeks and has netted four times in his last three games. He’s the second favourite at 7/4 with Bet365 to add another to his tally.

Solihull Moors vs Dagenham
The Moors sit 23rd in the National League table but haven’t been playing particularly badly in recent weeks and boss Liam McDonald has admitted his side have been undone by their own mistakes. They are 10/3 with Paddy Power to inflict defeat upon John Still’s side.

The Daggers bounced back from a double defeat with a convincing win at home against in-form Halifax. They are the favourites for this tie despite being away from home and are priced at 7/10 with Boylesports.

Still’s men have been handy to follow this season if you’re backing goals but they’ve failed to score in their last two away matches. They face a side who haven’t netted in two of their last three home matches so Under 2.5 Goals could be a good way to play at 6/5 with Paddy Power.

It’s hard to look past the impressive Corey Whitely who netted against Halifax last weekend bringing his total to eight for the season. He’s 11/8 with Bet365 to score during the 90 minutes.

Sutton vs Barrow
It’s been a funny period for Sutton who continue to struggle for consistency. They remain 4th in the table but have lost two of their last five. They are the 3/4 favourites with Betfair to secure three points here.
Barrow boss Mickey Moore, who remains in charge on a temporary basis has been impressed by his two new signings at the back and that’s given Barrow a bit of steel. They’ve picked up back to back draws and will be looking to battle their way to another point. It’s 11/4 with Bet365 for them to secure a draw.

The Cumbrian club have conceded just two goals in their last three goals whilst Sutton drew a rare blank last weekend. Under 2.5 Goals is 4/5 with Boylesports.

Torquay vs Macclesfield
Torquay still remain bottom of the table but have only lost once in their last three matches. Gary Ower’s side secured a point against Barrow last weekend and that should give them plenty of confidence. They are the 17/10 outsiders for this clash with Paddy Power.

The Gulls still look short of goals having netted just 11 in 11 but they have scored in four of their last five and Both Teams to Score? Yes is priced at 5/8 with 888Sport.

Macclesfield continue to travel effectively but stutter at the Moss Rose. They’ve recently won at Torquay’s relegation rivals Solihull Moors and Chester and will be confident of picking up all three points. They are 7/5 with Betfair to return to Cheshire with all three points.

Scott Wilson has netted three of the club’s last four goals in the league and has been priced at 7/4 with Bet365 to score during the 90 minutes.

Tranmere vs Wrexham
There is little doubt that Tranmere have the best squad in the division but they have been unable to make an effective start to the season with just 13 points from 11 games. They must start winning at some point and they are 4/7 with Betfred to get the job done at Prenton Park.

Wrexham have been a decent side this season and are unbeaten in their last five matches. The Welsh side make the short trip to Merseyside off the back of three consecutive draws and it’s 13/5 with Boylesports to end all square.

These two sides have seen the fewest goals in the division this season with just four games collectively featuring three or more goals. Under 2.5 Goals is 14/19 with 888Sport.

Ntumba Massanka has been scoring goals for the visitors this season and is a decent price of 10/3 with Bet365 to find the target here again.
