National League Betting Preview Saturday 9th September 2017

Most National League sides have enjoyed a week off and are preparing for a hectic seven day period which will include three consecutive games. We’ve taken a look at the weekend’s games in the 5th tier.

AFC Fylde v Bromley
AFC Fylde slipped up last weekend against an in-form Halifax. Dave Challinor’s men were ahead for just two minutes before being pegged back. They are Evens with 888Sport to bounce back here.

Mill Farm witnessed its first clean sheet of the campaign against Barrow but Fylde’s defending hasn’t been convincing and Both Teams to Score is 11/20 with Boylesports.

Danny Rowe remains in good form and he Netted the opener last weekend. The much-coveted striker is Evens with bet365 to find the net during the 90 minutes.

Bromley have picked up just four points from a possible 12 on the road and they will be aiming to make the long journey back with at least a point. It’s 9/4 with 888Sport to end a draw.

Aldershot v Dover
Aldershot have been engulfed by an injury crisis and it’s derailed their early season momentum. Nick Arnold is the latest man to be added to the extensive casualty list but despite his loss, the Shots have been installed as 23/20 favourites with Bet365.

Gary Waddock’s side were left with 10 senior professionals on the sidelines at the weekend but still managed to beat Solihull Moors. This will be much tougher and Dover arrive here unbeaten in two. The visitors are 9/4 to spring a surprise on their decimated hosts.

Dover have netted in two of their last three visits here and Both Teams to Score is 7/10 with Bet365 here.

Ryan Bird netted the winner for the Kent side at Tranmere on Saturday and he is 15/8 with Bet365 to continue his scoring run here.

Boreham Wood v Leyton Orient
The O’s arrive into this match full of confidence following a four match unbeaten run which has included victories over Woking, Maidenhead and Guiseley. Steve Davis’ men are 2/1 with Boylesports to claim all three points here.

The former Football League club have been attacking effectively but have also kept back to back clean sheets and they are a huge 3/1 with Paddy Power to keep their opponents off the scoresheet once again.

Boreham Wood haven’t been able to kick on from their 2-2 draw with Tranmere losing subsequent matches to Barrow and in-form Wrexham. They are 6/5 with 888Sport to get back to winning ways here.

If the hosts are able to get on the scoresheet, Bruno Andrade is the penalty taker and has netted twice in three matches. Bet365 have made him 7/4 to net anytime.

Chester v Ebbsfleet
Ebbsfleet are the draw specialists in the division with 7 of their 8 matches ending all square this season. They newcomers haven’t lost this season and they are 12/5 with Bet365 to pick another point here.

Four of the last five draws have seen both sides find the target and it’s 7/10 with 888Sport to land again here.

Chester lost 2-0 at Solihull Moors in yet another disappointing display on the road. The defeat resulted in the departure of manager Jon McCarthy and the hunt for his successor continues. They are 37/19 with 888Sport to claim a surprise victory here.

The hosts don’t score an awful lot of goals and if they are going to get something from this game. A 1-1 draw looks a sensible option at 11/2 with Paddy Power.

Guiseley v Eastleigh
There’s a new man at the helm in West Yorkshire as Paul Cox takes over at Nethermoor following the dismissal of Adam Lockwood. Guiseley’s home form hasn’t been too bad overall with just one defeat from four and they are 23/10 with Betfred to get off to a winning start under the stewardship of Cox.

Eastleigh are yet to pick up all three points on the road this season although they have drawn three times and It’s 23/10 with 888Sport for the game to end all square.

Guiseley will be out to impress and are capable of goals here whilst Eastleigh rarely keep clean sheets on the road. Over 2.5 Goals is 3/4 with Boylesports.

Halifax v Maidenhead
Billy Heath’s side are playing well and confounding pre-season expectations which tipped them to struggle. Halifax beat AFC Fylde last time out and are 23/20 with Betfred to pick up another three points.

They have conceded just a single goal in their last four matches which has helped them climb up to 8th in the table. Both Teams to Score? No is 11/10 with Bet365.

Maidenhead sit a place above the West Yorkshire outfit in the table and have very similar form to their hosts coming into this tie. A draw is 12/5 with Betfred.

Tom Denton found his shooting boots last weekend with a neat double and he’s 12/5 with Bet365 to score during 90 minutes here.

Hartlepool v Dagenham
Hartlepool started the season extremely slowly but they are starting to climb the table and arrive here off back-to-back victories. The North East outfit are 8/5 with Paddy Power for another home victory here.

Dagenham are also firing and sit top of the pile. They remain just one of two teams unbeaten in the National League and will confident of picking up something from this match. They’ve drawn their last three away trips and it’s 23/10 with Betfred to go the same way.

Both teams have found the net in three of their four away games and Hartlepool have suddenly found their shooting boots. Over 2.5 Goals is 5/6 with 888Sport.

Michael Cheek is deservedly the favourite in the anytime goalscorer market and he netted twice in the Daggers’ 5-1 hammering of Bromley. He is 7/4 with Bet365.

Maidstone v Woking
‘We don’t fear Maidstone and want another away win’ – that was the bullish statement from Woking boss Anthony Limbrick this week and his side are 11/4 outsiders with Bet365 to take all three points here.

The hosts’ unbeaten run came to a crashing end at the hands of Hartlepool last weekend but they did find the net and Both Teams to Score? Yes is 8/13 with Boylesports here.

Woking have scored seven goals in their last two matches and netted twelve times overall. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 4/5 with Paddy Power.

Joe Ward has netted in back-to-back contests and he is 7/4 with Bet365 to find the target for a third successive time.

Solihull Moors v Macclesfield
Solihull Moors gave themselves a boost with a midweek success against Chester and they have given themselves something to build upon. They are 21/10 with Paddy Power to make it back-to-back successes.

The Midlands side kept a clean sheet against a toothless Chester but Macclesfield are much tougher and Both Teams to Score? Yes is 4/6 with Betfred.

Macclesfield’s away record isn’t as imperious as last season with two wins and two draws from their opening four games on the road. They are 23/10 with Paddy Power to take a point from this affair.

Oladapo Afolayan netted both goals in that midweek success, he is 12/5 with Bet365 to find the net in 90 minutes once again.

Sutton v Gateshead
Sutton’s recent inconsistencies have proved frustrating to both fans and backers with two home defeats but an away victory at Bromley. They are Evens with 888Sport to bounce back from that disappointment here.

Gateshead’s woes on the road have shown no signs of abating recently and they have picked up just a single point from four outings. They are 9/4 with Boylesports to grab just their second away point here.

The Heed did find the net against Dagenham last weekend and Sutton’s sudden inability to keep clean sheets is likely to make Both Teams to Score very appealing here at 8/11 with Betfred.

Torquay v Wrexham
Robbie Herreira remains in temporary charge of bottom side Torquay but a permanent manager is yet to be appointed. The Gulls did pick up a draw with Chester but they conceded late which was a huge blow. They are 9/4 with Paddy Power to grab a second successive stalemate against in-form Wrexham.

Wrexham have been excellent at the Racecourse Ground this season and another victory on Saturday saw them climb up to 3rd in the table. They are 31/20 with Bet365 to secure all three points here.

The Welsh outfit haven’t conceded a goal since the 19th of August and are 21/10 with Paddy Power to keep another clean sheet here.

Ntumba Massanka netted both goals at the weekend and he is 7/4 with Bet365 to follow his brace with another striker against the struggling Devon outfit.

Tranmere v Barrow
Tranmere fans were left disappointed yet again at the weekend as they watched their side slip up at the hands of Dover. Once again, they are short-priced favourites at 3/5 with 888Sport to pick up three points at Prenton Park.

Caretaker boss Mickey Moore oversaw a Barrow victory at the weekend and insisted the players want him to be appointed on a permanent basis. His side are a huge 21/5 to secure an unlikely three points here.

Despite a lack of goals, Tranmere will be confident of finding the net against a Barrow side who haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last five matches. Both Teams to Score is 8/11 with Paddy Power here.

Andy Cook didn’t manage to find the target last weekend but he is potent at this level and he is 10/11 with Bet365 to score against the Cumbrian outfit.
