Winger James Dayton has joined Vanarama National League club Cheltenham Town on loan from managerless SkyBet League One side Swindon Town until January 19th 2016.
Dayton, started his career at Crystal Palace and spent loan spells at Yeovil Town and Crawley Town whilst on at Selhurst Park.
In November 2009 and after spending ten years with Palace without making a single senior appearance the 26 year old left the club, accepting an invitation to join the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain.
Following a successful trial Dayton signed a three-year deal with Scottish Kilmarnock club in the summer of 2010. Despite missing a large part of his first season at Killy through injury he went on to make sixty-five appearances, scoring 6 goals.
He join Oldham Athletic in May 2013 and played forty-nine times and scoring 4 goals and also made fifteen apperances in a loan spell with St Mirren from January 2015 until the end of the season.
The Latics released him last May and in August was signed by former Kettering Town boss Mark Cooper for Swindon.
