We are all called upon to make Disciples of Christ in our Christian walk. Do we really heed to this call?
Are we ashamed of this very power of God unto Salvation yet claim to follow the patterns of the sound words that we hear as we study the scriptures as well as in fellowship that we cannot reach out to that person next door, a colleague at work, fellow student, friends, family and stranger with the message of salvation? This should not be the case and as a matter of fact, a wakeup call that we need heed to, get away from our comfort zones, faithfully labour in the mission field for the salvation of man and the glory of our eternal father.
This is a higher calling for if a disciple maker, we are to set an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity with devotion to studying these very scriptures that we keep treasured in the heart. Again, discipleship must be based on sound doctrine and practice in all spheres of life persistently, our lives need preach Christ that in the fullness of time, we and our hearers get saved. On the other hand, godliness is a virtue one cannot do without both as a Christian and as a discipler for it holds promise for the present life as well as for the life to come.
Proclaim the riches of the glory of Christ who works in and through you. He supplies the energy for this very toil of reaching out with the gospel to the unreached, warning with wisdom from God that at the end of the day, the sharing of life that we are devoted to leads to maturity in Christ.Well, we learn and receive, hear and see what is excellent and worthy of praise. Therefore, practice as you seek to teach others.
A great commissioning it is… take up the call for to us grace is given and our cups never run dry as long as our help remains to be from God and have our eyes fixed on the price- eternity.
