(1 John 5:14‭-‬15)And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

What is God’s Will?

GOD’S WILL IS HIS WORD!!!!

God’s Will is found  in His Word….And it looks like this

1.God’s Revealed Will

2. God’s Sovereign Will

3. God’s Will of Command

4.God’s Moral Will

5.God’s Desired Will

6. God’s Circumstantial Will

7. God’s Immediate Will

8. God’s Permissive Will

9. God’s Predestined Will

 To learn what they mean, please do your own research. It’s quite extensive, but great study material…(2 Timothy 2:15)Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We can all agree that, no matter what… God’s Will is just that… God’s Will!

The truth is, some may disagree with what I am saying, that God’s Will is not about us. God’s Will is about using us, His creation, for someone else. God’s Will is all for His Glory. 

The ultimate Will of God is for His Kingdom to advance, for His name to be glorified, and for His creation to be reconnected through Jesus Christ, His Son(Colossians 1:16) “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”

As long as we are properly positioned in His Will for our lives, whatever He permits to happen will be for our good and His glory…(Romans 8:28)And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Now, let’s find out what His Will for our lives look like personally ….it looks like this… His plan, His heart, His purpose and His desire. All designed specifically for you and me(Jeremiah 29:11)For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

As your relationship deepens with God through the Word and by prayer, His Will for your life becomes much clearer(1 Corinthians 2:10)these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

While total surrender will be called for by God to find out His Will. Drawing closer to Him, by renewing your mind to His Word, will very much be called for as well  (James 4:8)Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

First things first, in order for you to find a clear understanding of His Will for your life, you first need to gain a clear  understanding of His Revealed Will (in His Word) that He wants you to live by and, be obedient to…

Like I said before, His Will is His Word, and if You want to know what He’s requiring of you, it’s good to start right there.  In obedience….. to what He’s already commanded of you (Luke  11:28)He said, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.”

As we choose to be obedient to God’s written Will, we must take into account (two) of the top (five) important things  to develop….. His attitude and His mindset(Ephesians 4:23-24)and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

He wants our life to look like His on earth to others….I mean don’t get me wrong ( ALL ) of God’s Word is important. However, our lives on earth should mimic His, in attitude, in mindset, in disposition and character…..while He was on earth in human flesh!! Just as Paul spoke to the people in(1Corinthians.11:1)Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

So please, at least be saved through Jesus Christ first, and walking by faith in Him, before you come seeking His Will for your life(1Corinthians 2:14) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

And, while during your time of (Matthew 7:7) seeking, asking, and knocking…. And, wanting to find out His Will for your life….. know that it’s in those times, you will need to be still ( so you can hear) and as you lean all the way into Him to learn, allow Him to teach you how to rest, right there where you are (Psalm 46:10)Be still, and know that I am God! (Matthew 11:29)Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Please know in living for God and finding out His Will, there is absolutely no way to prepare yourself for the unknown. The unknown of what He has for you to do, or where He has for you to go, until He reveals it to you…(Jeremiah 33:3)Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Also know this, that being a little uncomfortable during this journey is okay too. If you are the person who likes to stay within your comfort zone, just know, finding out God’s Will is sure to knock all that down, fast quick and in a hurry, ( why) because it’s not meant to be comfortable(2 Corinthians 1:3)IPraise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

So, don’t be afraid of your discovery, in what you’re going to hear…. And don’t decide to run because of that lagging self – doubt (in your mind, that will have to go), while putting on the mind of Christ…. just hold tight, you won’t be doing it alone.(Isaiah 41:10)Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

This isn’t  the time to  leave ..BUT.. cleave! And, definitely not the time to fear…..BUT….be clear!!( 2 Timothy 1:7)For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

If you will just hold onto this….. And know that His Will for you and me;  

Embodies His character, 

Articulates His reason for all creation, 

And Emanates His wisdom and His power(Proverbs 16:4)The LORD has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster.

As, your trust and understanding for God grows more and more, He’ll start to uncover His Will for you. But you must remain in the mindset of,  “I will follow it, no matter where it leads!!” (Proverbs 3:5-6)Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Where there always seem to be a problem, is when His creation feels as though they don’t need to follow His Will for their lives, and begin to follow their own.

Then and only then is when they run into problems like,Jonah did(Jonah 1)read it….

 So just know, when you’re trying to do things your own way, nothing, I mean absolutely nothing, is going to work for long term, because it’s not being done in accordance with God’s Will. Because it’s your own!!(John 15:5)“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

What amazes me, is how people think they can make decisions for their lives, when they weren’t the ones who created them…and for those of you who didn’t know…it’s not even your own life….it was created by Him and for Him!! (Sorry to bust your self-absorbed bubble!!)(Isaiah 43:7)Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

All God wants, when it comes to His Will, is for us to…..love it,  learn it, study it, know it (and) grow in it, just so we’ll understand how to move in sync with it, as we obey it.

His Will for you, says to follow the plan He has had purposed for you before eternity. So! you do just that….(Ephesians 5:17) “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.“

 And remember this…When you find yourself Complaining about God’s Will for your life, not being what you wanted, trust that He will lead you to the other side of a life you didn’t even choose for yourself(Psalm 139:13) You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
