A teenage boy sat on a park bench weeping bitterly. His father had recently died,
and his mother wanted nothing to do with him. He felt unloved.
People walked by without noticing the boy. An old man noticed and sat next to him.

“Son, what’s wrong? Why are you so sad?”
“My father just died and my mother doesn’t want me around.”
“Sorry to hear that. Do you have family or friends who could help?”
“No, sir. I’m an only child. There are no other family members and I have few friends.
I’m alone. Nobody cares what happens to me.”
The old man felt sorry for the boy. He hugged the boy and took Hold of his hand.
“Son, I’ll hold your hand. You’ll not be alone. I’ll do what I can to help you.”
Holding someone’s hand means so much during difficult times. This gesture speaks
louder than words. It’s an expression of love and support during difficult times.
The Lord promises to hold our hand and support us throughout the journey.
When the way becomes difficult, he’ll support us with love and mercy. The
Lord sends ‘angels’ into our lives to give comfort, support and love.
When you encounter rough times, reach out to the Lord. He will hold your hand
and walk with you.
