I know I usually blog and try to give you guys great content on Tuesdays and Thursdays but today is a very special day!  My first writing Baby was published and made available for sale!! I am so nervous and excited all at the same time! So don't mind me if this isn't my best blog.  This is just the beginning of my published works.. I have a lot more on the way in various formats, for different ages and tons of topics.  So be on the look out.

Now let me do what I came to do... Encourage someone! This book along with many of the others I've been working on have been in progress for years.. and I do mean YEARS.. The next book I plan to publish has been a work in progress for at least 5 years and I've scrapped it and started over at least 8 times. Sometimes getting your thoughts out on paper isn't an easy task. It's like stripping in front of a bunch of people or baring your soul to strangers. You have so many thoughts running through you head and questions about what you think others will say or feel about your work. I just want somebody to know that it's OK to start over, but don't get stuck there. At some point we have to release what God has put in us for the betterment of others. If you're working on a project, a song, movie, screen play, clothing line, book, play, or whatever... keep pushing. Don't throw away the crumpled up papers because they may come together to be something you hadn't even thought of. Get some people to help hold you accountable and to push you to the place of release! If it doesn't work out the first time, try again... and again, and again if you have to. Don't let fear keep you from sharing yourself and your gifts with the world. Somebody needs it!
