I STILL TRUST GOD!

Sometimes when we pray and God doesn't answer the way we expect Him to, it can make us question Him, our faith, our prayers and everything we believe.  It's easy to have faith and trust God when He answers the way we expect, but what about when He doesn't?  What about when we've prayed and believed God for a miracle and we still lose the person we were believing God to heal?  What about the husband or wife we've been waiting on for years that hasn't come?  Will you still trust Him when you've given your all and done everything you can and His answer isn't what you wanted?  What about when the answer is flat out NO?  Will you still trust Him?

A few days ago my cousin had an accident and ended up in the ICU clinging to life.  We did what we knew to do.. we prayed, we sought God, we declared his healing, we believed God for a miracle, we trusted God for the impossible. As we waited and believed for manifestation of his healing on this side my family prayed at the hospital, prayed for his friends, prayed for strangers and praised God all throughout that hospital.  We did what we do best, come together when it matters most!

Thursday we found out that my cousin was declared dead Wednesday night and he was only being kept alive by the machines.  So what do we say when God's answer was to call him home?  What do we feel when we knew within our heart of hearts that God would do this miracle for us and His answer wasn't what we expected?

Sometimes it's really hard to cope with the sovereignty of God, but the answer is faith.  That same faith that we had to believe God for the miracle or the answer, is the same faith we have to have that God makes no mistakes.

Isaiah 55:8-9 says  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Even when the answer isn't what we want, God is still working things out for our good.  He's still got our best interest in mind and is working out a bigger greater plan than we can see.  In the midst of the tragedy with my cousin my mom informed me that my family was able to come together in prayer and not only pray together, but to minister to other families at the Hospital.  They were able to pray with his friends and strangers, and usher the presence of God into that hospital.. So although we didn't get the Miracle we asked for... we were able to be a miracle for someone else.

Someone else saw unwavering Faith in God,  someone else saw praise go forth in a hospital waiting room in the face of tragedy,  and someone saw a family come together and believe for their loved one.  You never know who's watching and who's looking to your response as a model.  So will you still trust God when He doesn't answer the way you want?  When he seem quiet or you think He doesn't hear you?  When the situation seems impossible and you know only He can do it?  Will you trust Him?
