May is coming in hot and riding high on Eight of Wands Energy. The Eight of Wands is a speed, action, and rapid change card. It can indicate travel by air, the arrival of important news, or a whirlwind romance. If the card could talk, it would say, “Seize the moment and take action to go after your goals.”

When reversed, the progress doesn’t come to a screeching halt, but we can slow it down. These themes include delays (of any kind), frustration, traffic jams, putting the brakes on something moving full steam ahead, or canceled travel plans.

Wands are the tarot suit represented by fire and represent creativity, growth, and passion. Eight symbolizes harmony, balance, and success. Combining these two energies creates a powerful wave of momentum and progress.

Eight of Wands is a magical card that symbolizes a period of fast-paced action and development. Often associated with travel, communication, and new opportunities. The wide-open landscape is a perfect metaphor for the landscape of this fertile month. May represents the beginning of summer. . . or a least a summer mindset (I’m already there. Is anyone else? ) and a time of growth and renewal. It encourages you to be spontaneous, adventurous, and open-minded.

I’m traveling to Dallas this week to speak at a super cool tarot conference, and then, soon after, I’ll be heading to LA to join a team of mystical practitioners at a transformative wellness retreat.
