An interview with Marie Lukasik Wallace

Writelighters is a podcast series that celebrates conscious writers who are actively using their words to elevate the vibration of the planet.
On the premiere episode, my guest was Marie Lukasik Wallace, a writer, poet and writing workshop facilitator from Boise, Idaho.
Marie talked about her life as a conscious writer, the launching of Poets for Peace, and read her thought-provoking poem, "Rockabye."
INTERVIEW EXCERPT
Eleyne-Mari: "When I was a child, I was taught some very bad advice about words—and you probably did, too. 'Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me!' How do you feel when you hear that?"
Marie: "I think it's the most horrible statement that was ever written in the world. I think that words matter. I feel that if I broke my bone I could mend it and it would be pretty close to new, but I know that you can't take words back."
