We have several Christian testaments available to us. First there is the Old Testament in the Bible, talking about a vengeful God, a God with whom you better not mess. Then there is the New Testament, in which Jesus declared to us that God loves us. To emphasize this, Jesus shared the story of the Prodigal Son with us in the New Testament, a story of love and reconciliation. A touching example of a loving father.
