Reverend Gideon Ekele Odoma is an experienced Bible teacher who is known around the world for his Christian Apologetic teachings. He is the founder of the Fortress Ministry, which is based in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He is a preacher, a thinker, a Christian apologist, a strategy consultant, and a champion for civility.

He is also the Director of the Christian Apologetics Training Institute (CATI) in Nigeria and the host of the monthly program “Word Count Abuja.” Reverend Gideon is a full-time itinerant speaker whose main areas of focus are evangelism, apologetics, teaching the Bible, and leadership development.

Reverend Odoma teaches at the Adullam Bible School, which Apostle Arome Osayi started and with whom he has a close relationship. Adullam is a school for training people to be ministers. It is set up so that students can learn in an environment that feels like Heaven and is filled with spiritual teachings.

Reverend Odoma is very interested in sharing the claims of Christianity with young people and influential people. He also wants to help Christians develop into mature, skilled representatives of Christ, no matter where they are in life or what they do.

Reverend Odoma often speaks at University Campus Missions. He talks about a wide range of topics, such as doctrines, the moral case for God’s existence, Science and Religion, and more.

His lessons also make people think about why they are Christians and if people can live forever (Eternal Salvation). He has also worked as a part-time missionary for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) out of Nigeria.

Reverend Gideon Ekele Odoma: Early Life

Reverend Odoma was born on July 31 in Ugwolawo, which is in the Ofu local government area of Kogi State, Nigeria. He went to the Federal Government College (FGC) Ugwolawo and got his SSCE. He then went to the University of Jos and got a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography. 

After getting his first degree, he went to Oxford University and The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA) to study theology and Christian apologetics. He is now getting a Masters in Theology at Chester University.

As an itinerant speaker, Christian apologist, and experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in the religious institutions industry, Reverend Gideon Odoma is skilled in research, public speaking, human resource management, Nonprofit organizations, Strategic Planning, and Volunteer Management. He is a strong leadership development professional.

Reverend Gideon Ekele Odoma ‘s Mentors

Reverend Gideon Odoma has a very close bond with Apostle Osayi because they attended the same Secondary School and have known each other for a long time. Reverend Gideon Odoma has also been mentored by Reverend Segun Adeyinmi Olugbemi, Apostle Ele Adejoh, the late Reverend Ravis Zacharias, and a lot of other people.

Pastor Ameh Amana, the head pastor of the Gospel International ministry in Ugwolawo, Kogi State, is Reverend Gideon Odoma’s spiritual father. Reverend Gideon Odoma acknowledges and describes Pastor Ameh Amana as a critical voice in his life and ministry for about three decades now.

Reverend Gideon Odoma has been a servant of God for many years and teaches God’s word full-time.

Campus ministry is important to him. In order to raise a group of young people who fear God, he goes from campus to campus in Nigeria and other countries to preach the gospel when asked.  Reverend Gideon Odoma also gives sermons in churches when asked to do so.  He holds a weekly Bible study called “Tuesday Ignite” and a monthly program called “Word Count.”

He also has a place where people can learn about the Bible and get ready for service. Reverend Gideon Odoma is also the Director of the Mamre Christian Institute (MCI). MCI is a program run by the Fortress ministry to train and qualify students after a two-week intensive Bible study. Courses like apologetics, doctrine, missions, spiritual practices, and theology are the main focus of MCI.

Reverend Gideon Odoma is married to MrsHassanahOdoma. They got married on 28th June, 2008. The family is currently blessed with three children – Tehiilla (June 17th), Duke and Asher Odoma (June 24th). They are based in Jos.
