Put It all Together

“But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification” ~ Romans 4:24-25

Life. It seems that most people have a different definition of it. Some people see life as far as a heart beating and a brain thinking, while others argue that you can be living, but not Alive.

Regardless, I am one who sees life as a privilege to live. Every person on this Earth who breathes a breath is bound to a certain set of characteristics which make life. An organism must have organization, development, the ability to reproduce, energy use, homeostasis, and the ability to adapt. If something lacks even one of these attributes, it is not considered alive.

Under the category of reproduction falls the molecule of life- DNA. DNA, which stands for Deoxynucleic Acid, is what defines what an organism will be. In one human cell their is nearly 6 feet of DNA contained nearly 3 billion letters that code for your proteins. That is enough letters to fill 1,000 200 page books.

But here is the thing. If there were just these 3 billion letters in each cell you would cease to exist. DNA is made of these bases (letters), phosphates, and sugars. It is only when all three crucial parts of DNA are together that life can happen.

This is much like the life we have as Christians. The Gospel consists of three parts that lead to one full life. Jesus Christ, our source of life:

  1. Died
  2. Was Buried
  3. Rose Again

These three things put together, holds an innumerable amount of power and transforms the identity of those who believe. You can not live without these three actions, completed, and gifted to you by God’s abundant plan.

Remember, miss one characteristic and you are not alive. A dead God = A dead person (1 Corinthians 15:15-19). Christ was buried, proving His humanity. Jesus rose, proven as He left death behind, so can you (Romans 4:24-25).

Therefore, go and live.
