Lighthouses

Lighthouses : symbolically being a guide or showing a person’s need to be alone to write, meditate, be creative…

Had earmarked today’s featured Quote for use one day but Frog has just talked to me about a lighthouse and it seemed a good one to use, especially thinking about forthcoming posts ().

It’s even more relevant since I actually read the quote via Matt Haig’s book, “The Comfort Book”. I used to wonder, and be sceptical about, when people talk about every cloud having a silver lining and how every experience can be good for us and God/The Universe/whoever sends situations that ultimately help us. Pain has purpose? My first thought used to be “yeah right, well tell that to someone who’s desperately ill or dying or handicapped”. But I’m starting to get what they mean. Matt Haig is someone I do admire as he’s turned his ‘weakness’ of depression into a ‘strength’ of author and generally inspiring guy. A wonderful example of how the carbon of coal is the same carbon of diamonds.

In today’s frantic world, the quote is also a lovely reminder for lightworkers (that’s all of us, folks!)
