Today’s Featured Quote is taken from a Netflix series, God’s Favourite Idiot (we always said Divine wisdom comes from a wide range of places!). The synopsis is that God chooses an ordinary, humble, slightly geeky guy called Clark to spread God’s message. The series is quirky, unconventional and to some would no doubt be considered blasphemous. The featured quote for example comes from a conversation between Clark and God (who takes the form of Mrs Rowbotham) in the toilets at Clark’s workplace.
But if you look past the entertainment factor and labels of irreverence and focus in on the deeper meaning, it is actually quite full of genuine Spiritual messages… love, good versus evil, tolerance, goodness through actions, spiritual hypocrisy etc
And who says spirituality and humour can’t mix? Is it impossible that the spiritual realm has a sense of humour? And maybe, just maybe, we are all God’s Idiots in one way – all chosen to live on Earth and spread and live the message, stumbling a bit on our journey but doing as best as we possibly can!
