World View, Philosophy and Action

Why does an underlying world view or Philosophy matter?

Years ago, wrongly, I thought it was a waste of time to ask that question.  I wanted to “hurry up” and get to the meat of a topic.  I’ve since seen the error of my ways.

We are always dealing with an underlying philosophy.

And because we are always dealing with an underlying philosophy, and because I believe that there is an underlying philosophy fettering the Christian world, I am bringing this topic up.

It can be easier to use an example to explain something, so here is an example.

Take the lie of evolution. Why does the discussion of evolution matter anyway? Who cares?
Here are a few reasons.

1. The Bible says God created man sovereignly. Therefore, man could not have evolved from an amoeba. To believe in evolution denies the authority of the Word of God. Honest scientists have acknowledged how the world view of creation, which they call intelligent design, makes sense. But, mainstream media has been heavily infiltrated with secular, worldly editors who can edit out what you see or edit in a certain perspective.  This is why freedom of speech and alternative news centers are so important, if they present the edited out facts.

2. If death entered the world with sin, and the Bible teaches that death entered the world with sin, there could not have been eons of death cycles before man appeared on the scene. The Bible teaches that there was no death before the Fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.  Of course, pointing that out brings up many questions, but we don’t need to deal with those since the fact is, the Fall happened, death came, and this is the reality we are dealing with now, not the Eden first created.

3. This is a huge one…if man is created, which he is, then there is a Creator that man answers to at the Last Judgment. Secularists, atheists, modernists prefer the idea of evolution because if they can convince people that there is no God, no Last Judgment, then people are more subject to bribery, blackmail, threats, intimidation and keeping silent when they should speak.  People who fear man more than they fear God are more subject to corruption.

Why does that matter? Well, for example, in election cycles, if someone has the fear of God, they are less likely to be subject to blackmail or bribery or cheating if they think that they will have to give an account to God for doing what they knew was wrong to do.

4. This another huge one that is related to #3. Secularists, atheists, and those who serve mammon know that the flesh is subject to temptation. So, they would prefer to sell to people’s flesh…drugs, alcohols, sex, bad movies, “creative” (theft) accounting in business. The world, the flesh, and the Devil offer all sorts of profit from the worship of mammon for those who have no fear of God. Satan offered these temptations to Jesus in the wilderness. Jesus refused them.

Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

It was when Jesus resisted the temptations of the devil, that he returned in the power of the Spirit.

Maybe this is why some politicians’ words can sound so empty? Are there some temptations they did not resist and so now their words lack power and conviction? Just asking.

Moving on.

It is necessary to draw back the focus to the fact that we are considering the importance of underlying world views or philosophies.

Look how much evil has come out from the (non Biblical) world view of evolution.

  • Wars are fought and people are treated as nonessential collateral damage…because after all, they are evolved from amoebas, correct?
  • There is no care for those who are suffering because it is the “law of the jungle”, right?
  • People can be lied to, and killed with a toxic jab, because it is profitable, and it’s the bottom line that’s important, right?  after all, we answer to the stockholders and stakeholders and not God?  Right? (actually, not true, but some think there is no God to answer to)
  • Dictatorships, all atheistic governments depend on the idea of evolution.
  • Think how many billions of dollars have been spent on books, products, movies based on the idea of evolution, and products focused on tempting people the world, the flesh, and the devil. Someone made money.
A person who operates in the fear of God won’t make those movies, open those dives, do drag queen hours at libraries, sell drugs, use pharmaceuticals wrongly, start wars for profit, or participate in wrong-spirited money making activities or maybe they should be more correctly called mammon-profit-making activities when based on sin and iniquity.
  • Printing trillions of dollars out of thin air devalues the worth of every hard-working individual who gained a house, car, homestead, some real property, whatever…through hard labor… and who has the value of that real property devalued by the theft that occurs in this current system based on fiat money.  Wages are stolen through inflation from printed trillions while politicians promise they won’t raise taxes.  But they steal through inflation.   All this comes from the philosophy of atheism, believing that there is no God to answer to at the Last Judgement. One of the Old Testament laws given to Moses by God was “no usury” and we have seen the final end of a system based on usury. Dictators get in place, print trillions, and destroy a nation. They go to war for more money for their coffers.

All these topics can only be briefly touched on in a blog post like this. The point is, that an underlying world view or philosophy matters.  If you want to dig into more details, there are many footnoted books that have been created. A recent one is written by Alex Jones…The Great Reset and The War for the World.  Go buy that book at Amazon and read that.

You may wonder why this is being discussed on this website.

Ask this question.

Did Jesus operate in love.

I think everyone would answer yes.

Then what was Jesus doing here?

John 2: 13 And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.
17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

In other words, they were asking, who do you think you are, throwing out the money changers?

So again, did Jesus operate in love? Did He know what he was doing?

If we all accept that Jesus is the Son of God, then yes, I think we would accept that he knew what he was doing.

If a politician ever got into office and stopped the fraud of the Federal Reserve and the unlimited trillions of dollars, would that be an act of love?

When it comes to government, for government to operate in a way that is not destructive to the population, there has to be an element of righteousness.

It cannot be simply warm and fuzzy speeches.

Back to philosophy.

I was actually going to move a different direction with this post, and it seemed to have gone a different way than I expected, but perhaps it is long enough for present.

Here’s one more thought.

The left knows enough about the scriptures to use the ones that they want to get what they want. They really do know how to slam Christians in a box and try to put the lid on them. That’s a whole other post.

In any case, how about having a new take on a well-known verse?

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

If you, as a Christian, are aware of what is going on, and that it is wrong, simply go out and do something about it. Help save the world.

Get into politics, the local school board, the club after school, monitor the school library…help save the world from the atheist, modernist, communists by your actions.  Help bring righteousness to this nation and reverse the trend of atheism and communism.

If you were privy to cheating in the current election cycle, perhaps you can do something to reverse it.

It’s time for the church to get out into the world and help save it, as well as tell people how to be born again.
