Morning Prayer for Today – May They Not Be Lost

Father,

You are a loving and amazing Father. The love you lavish on me is more excellent than words can describe.

Lord, the more time I spend with you, the more you teach me to Desire what your heart desires above all else.

Therefore, let my prayers bring your desire to pass as I pray them from your Word.

You are saying in Ezekiel 33:11:

Say to them, ‘As I live!’ declares the Lord God,

‘I take no pleasure at all in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live.

Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then should you die, house of Israel?’

Father, I know that many people all over the world have yet to put their faith in Jesus.

I also know that the devil keeps deceiving many by telling them there is still time, but before they know it, it’s too late.

But, it is not your desire that people should die in their sins, no matter who they are or what they’ve done.

Lord, I pray for their eyes to see the light of your saving grace and not miss the opportunity to come to Jesus.

Your Word says in Luke 13:1-9:

Some people told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices.

He said to them in reply,

“Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans?

By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!

Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them–

Do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem?

By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!”

And he told them this parable:

“There once was a person who had a fig tree planted in his orchard, and when he came in search of fruit on it but found none,

He said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. So cut it down.

Why should it exhaust the soil?’ He said to him in reply,

‘Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future.

If not you can cut it down.’”

Father, I pray that your mighty power will break the chains of procrastination that keep people in darkness.

I pray that your Spirit will put the conviction of sin and the coming judgment in their hearts so that they will run to you.

And much more than anything, Lord, give them the revelation of your love.

No one can Turn from you when they truly see your heart of love and patience.

This is my prayer, and I know it is your desire too.

I am persuaded that you are answering this prayer even right now as I am praying it.

In Jesus’ name.

Amen.
