Opening The Doors To Your Prison

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the Captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. – Luke 4:18.

I am going to ask a very simple question. One, that requires thought on your part. Who are the captives, who are the blind, and who are the bruised? Jesus knew the answer to this question. Do you? Did Jesus tell us the answers plainly? Did He explain everything that we needed to know within the four Gospels? Have we sought out the answers? Do we know them? During the time that Jesus Christ was preaching upon this earth, the Jewish nation was expecting a Messiah that would free them all from the Roman occupation. Yet, He did not. So, who are the captives? Where did these captives come from? Is it plausible than that we are all captives? What if we were all blind? What if we were all bruised? Would the Bible bear out in numerous places the answers to these questions?

That is the purpose of Lift Up A Banner, to help lead you in understanding the answers to these questions, and many others. If you have made it this far, stuck around, or are just joining in, I would like to share something from the Book of Acts. In many places within the Bible there are parallels of what is happening in the physical, to what is being spoken, to what is happening in the spiritual, and to what is happening inside of us. Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is within you.” The following video builds upon the eBook Crucified At Golgotha, Ephesians 2, and the posts titled, The Triumphal Entry Part 1 and The Triumphal Entry part 2 (located to the right of your browser or the bottom of this page, if on a mobile device). It also builds upon all of the fundamental principles shared within this website.

Take the time to ponder the questions, the previous lessons, and the actual meaning of Golgotha, “The place of YOUR skull.”

The Bible tells us, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” He can only do so based upon the amount of His Word that we have placed within us. If we put all our faith in one verse here, or another verse there, we aren’t rightly dividing the Word of Truth. If we only look at halves of verses, we will fall short. I have done all that I can to present the Word of Life in a way that is easy to understand, interpret, and with the simplicity that I was led to understand it. May the blessings of the Lord God be upon you and carry you through the evil day.
