Who Will Enter Heaven?

The answer to “Who Will Enter Heaven” may shock you to the core. We would love for everyone we know to go to heaven and that may be the case for you and your friends, but for others, it is not going to happen. Together we will go over who will enter heaven and who will not as the scriptures teach us, so read on to the end! Jesus has made it so easy for us to have eternal life and it’s hard to understand why some people don’t take this gift seriously. It’s extremely hard for many people to believe in something they have never seen, or they simply think they have plenty of time. None of us know the day and hour we will take our last breath so putting off making the decision to follow Christ Is very risky! Your spirit NEVER dies even if it goes to hell! Can you imagine spending eternity that way? I can’t, so let’s dig a little further and see what God’s word says about who will enter heaven. For reference, if you don’t know what hell is like you should read the book of Revelation!   The Scriptures below are from the New King James version. John 3:5 – Jesus answered and said to him (Nicodemus), “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” At this point, Nicodemus was confused about being born from his mother’s womb again, but Jesus explains to him how this second birth is a birth of the spirit and walking with God.   Matthew 7:21-23 – “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?” Jesus says, “And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Just because a person says they believe in God and does works in His name, means nothing if they have not asked Jesus to come into their life. It means nothing if they talk a good game but are still living in sin or maybe even worshiping other Gods as well. We are to serve only one God, and that is Jehovah!   Matthew 19:24 – “And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” This scripture is not saying Christians should not prosper but that rich people usually don’t lean on God for their needs like they should. They think money will take care of all their needs and so God is given no place in many of their lives. What they fail to do is be grateful to God for their blessings, because without Him they could possibly have nothing. But God is not always given the honor and glory He deserves!  If money is more important to you than your relationship with God, you’ve got a problem that needs to be addressed quickly. John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” God gave up his son for us and allowed Jesus to become the final sacrifice for us. No more sacrificing cows and other animals to have our sins rolled forward each year by the priest!   Luke 13:24(Jesus talking) – “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.” The narrow gate could stand for many things, but I believe that Jesus is saying you can’t compromise in life. You are with Him all the way or you aren’t and not everyone that wants to pass through that gate will get to. What is sad to me is most people really do want to follow Jesus and do right, but their flesh gets in the way and they don’t fight hard enough to change. Please don’t take offense in what I’m about to say because this comparison includes me as well. Christians who aren’t obeying God’s laws and think they can live like the devil today and then ask God for forgiveness at the last second may be in for a surprise.  You may not have a last-second to make things right. God hates sin and blessings from God certainly don’t flow as freely when we are walking in sin and not the spirit. I’m not saying you will go to hell, but do you want to face God if you haven’t been serving Him?  Having said all that, I’m not here to judge and neither should you. Our goal should be to follow Jesus daily and live a good Christian life. If you have accepted Jesus as your savior and you strive to do your best, you WILL enter those pearly gates! It’s a choice we all have to make. Follow God or follow Satan. I know whom I choose. It’s Jesus!   Who Will Enter Heaven? – Instructions Acts 4:12 – “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Jesus is the ONLY way we can be saved. There is no other way for salvation. Not by working in the church, or doing good deeds can we get there.   Romans 10:9 – “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” This is a clear plan of salvation. We believe in Jesus as our savior, confess with our mouths He will be our Lord, knowing He was raised from the dead. God allowed this miracle to be painful for Jesus but painless for us. Praise God!   Ephesians 2:8-9 – (Paul Speaking) “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”   It’s only by the grace of God we are saved. We certainly don’t deserve it! It is a wonderful gift and yet some people never unwrap it and take it home.   Who Will Enter Heaven Made Clear God has made it clear in these scriptures what we need to do to be saved and how we are supposed to act. He also lets us know what the danger is of getting off into sin and not staying on the right path. The answer to “who will enter heaven” is simple. It will be as many as choose to go and follow God’s instructions for getting there. It’s a matter of accepting the gift and living according to God’s commandments. If you love Him, His commandments will be easy to follow and the rewards are great! When you walk in the spirit God rewards you daily. His blessings for you start here and now on earth, not only when you get to heaven. Oh! What a glorious day that will be! Does this mean you can never mess up?  No, we all fall short at times.  But Jesus is our advocate so when we do mess up we need to immediately go to God in prayer and ask forgiveness in Jesus’ name! Fight the good fight of faith.  I plan on seeing you there!
