- Wisdom Resides In You

"...but it is not mere age that makes men wise. Rather, it is the Spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty that makes him intelligent." (Job 32:8-9 TLB)

The Bible tells us the mind of God, and our theme scripture shows that mere aging and experience cannot make one wise. That's why a forty year old can remain a fool forever. However, He tells us where Wisdom resides. He says it is the Spirit of God in a man that makes him intelligent. It also calls Him the breath of the Almighty; that is the part of Jehovah that resides in man.

During creation, God breathed upon man to make him a living soul; and he walked in the dimension of God till he fell. Remember he had eternal life; but now through Christ we are not just soulish beings, we are active spirit beings, who live after the Spirit and not after our feelings. That means, every step we are now if we let Him can be ordered by the Lord (Psalm 27:23).

Little wonder why Solomon in his young age exceeded in wisdom above all else. And why Daniel reigned in wisdom above the philosophers of Babylon; and why David understood deeper things than his own teachers (Psalm 119:99). Why? Because they allowed God's Spirit work in them and through them. There's a wisdom that can't be reached nor found by anyone, and it is found only in Him and He dwells in you (Job 28); but to actualize it we have to activate His wisdom in us.

And how do we do this? Job 28:28 says "And he said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” (NIV). It is the only way. Proverbs 28:5 supports that conclusion. it says "Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things." It is the key to embodying the highest wisdom, and wisdom is the key to all things.

Through God's wisdom, you can herald extraordinary discoveries and witty inventions, in science and all. You can write life-changing literatures. In fact, it can make you a master of your vocation. Consider Bezaleel (Exodus 31), and then consider Jesus Himself. His wisdom will change your life.

" I love all who love me. Those who search for me shall surely find me. Unending riches, honor, justice, and righteousness are mine to distribute. My gifts are better than the purest gold or sterling silver! My paths are those of justice and right." (Proverbs 8:17-20 TLB).
