Welcome to Your Spring!

Welcome to Spring!

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, today marks the vernal Equinox, the first day of astronomical spring. (For those Down Under, this day heralds the arrival of autumn.)

The return of spring signals longer days with more sunlight and warmer temperatures. Even though it may take a while to see blooming flowers (especially in Canada!), the Spring Equinox is a reminder that brighter days are ahead.

But what exactly is an equinox?

We have two of them each year, in spring and fall. Each one marks the day when the sun is directly above the Earth’s equator (from our perspective), and night and day are of equal length.

The sun’s path then crosses the celestial equator (an imaginary line or circle in the sky directly above the Earth’s equator), and heads north or south, depending on the time of year.

At the spring equinox, the sun is rising into the Northern Hemisphere: it’s our turn for renewal.

But no matter where you live on the planet or what time of year it is, you can experience a new season of rebirth in your life.

Your new beginning comes when the Son rises in your life.

When you welcome God’s Son, Jesus, by accepting Him as your Saviour, you are assured that brighter days are ahead. With Jesus in the ascendant, His life-giving light floods your life.

Perhaps you’ve been in a season of darkness: you can’t seem to find much meaning in life. Or you life feels ice-bound in sin and stagnation.

It’s your turn for renewal, my friend!

Fling open the shutters of your heart and let the Light stream in. Let Jesus do something new and wonderful in your life.

Once you’ve accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross as payment for your sins, you have been made right with God. You’ve crossed a crucial boundary and your life is headed in an upward trajectory. Scripture says that you’re now a new creation!

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

As you read Scripture and follow Jesus’ teachings, your thought patterns will be transformed and your mind renewed. You can live in the Light of Christ and leave your sin-stained way of thinking and behaving behind.

“Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it?” (Isaiah 43:18-19a)

No matter what age you are, you can enter into a season of renewal and rebirth, thanks to Jesus.

Welcome to your Spring!

“Look, the winter is past, and the rains are over and gone. The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come, and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air.”
