The Chesapeake model in Wando Village is available to tour daily at 372 Blowing Fresh Drive, Charleston. John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods/Provided
John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods announced the release of homesites and the opening of a professionally decorated model in Wando Village, a new coastal-inspired luxury waterfront community centrally located between Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island alongside the banks of the Wando River.
This first release includes boat dock homesites with panoramic views of the Wando River. Home designs with rocking chair porches and lavish owner’s suites feature plenty of windows to capture Lowcountry breezes and spectacular sunsets.
The Chesapeake model is available to tour daily at 372 Blowing Fresh Drive, Charleston. Each features John Wieland signature appointments like statement gourmet kitchens, spa-like baths and innovative interiors that connect the indoors with the outside.
Wando Village offers nine home designs from within three John Wieland collections, including the popular drive-under open floorplans with double porches on both the front and back of the home, and an unfinished garage space large enough for storage, workshop tinkering, a golf cart and an optional elevator.
New homes range in size from 2,145 square feet to more than 3,300 square feet. Homebuyers can choose from three to five bedrooms and two-and-a-half to five baths, priced from the mid- $500,000s to more than $1.6 million.
“We’re excited to open this one-of-a-kind community, where residents can launch a boat or kayak from their backyard, take their golf cart to the community dock and end the day relaxing fireside with friends and neighbors,” said general sales manager Jacob Reynolds. “Each floorplan has been carefully selected to blend classic and modern elements with architectural details that are designed to complement the extraordinary surroundings.”
Residents will enjoy a community dock, a children’s playground, pocket parks, walking trails, a fire pit and a covered pavilion for gathering. When completed, the golf cart-friendly community will accommodate 117 single-family homes, of which 30 feature docks along the Wando River.
Located off Hwy 41, with easy access to Hwy 17, which connects to I-526 and I-26, Wando Village is centrally located to Mt. Pleasant, Daniel Island and downtown Charleston, and about 20 minutes from Charleston International Airport. Children are zoned to attend the newly built Berkeley County schools — Philip Simmons Elementary, Middle and High — in Point Hope.
Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday and Wednesday noon to 6 p.m., For more information, Call 843.508.2039 or visit jwhomes.com.
