On the eighth day of the ongoing annual Karthika Brahmotsavam of Tiruchanoor temple grand Rathotsavam fete was held on Friday. As the ratham glided along the mada streets with rich decorations, Sri Padmavati Devi blessed devotees in all Her religious splendour assuring the devotees on the fulfilment of their appeals. Both Tirumala pontiffs, TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, Chandragiri MLA De Bhaskar Reddy, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam and other officials were also present.
తిరుచానూరు శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో ఎనిమిదో రోజైన శుక్రవారం ఉదయం రథోత్సవం కన్నులపండుగ‌గా జరిగింది.
ఉదయం 8.40 గంటలకు రథోత్సవం మొద‌లై ఆలయ నాలుగు మాడ వీధుల్లో సాగింది. భక్తులు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో రథాన్ని లాగారు. సర్వాలంకార శోభితమైన రథంలో ప్రకాశించే అలమేలు మంగ సకలదేవతా పరివారంతో వైభవోపేతంగా తిరువీధులలో విహరించే వేళలో ఆ తల్లిని సేవించిన భక్తుల కోరికలు సిద్ధిస్తాయని విశ్వాసం.
రథోత్సవం ఉత్సవం మాత్రమే కాదు. భక్తుల హృదయక్షేత్రాలలో తాత్త్వికబీజాలు విత్తే ఒక యజ్ఞం. సింగారించిన పాలకడలి గారాలపట్టిని దర్శించిన వారికి జన్మాదిదుఃఖాలు నశించి, మోక్షం లభిస్తుంది.
రథోత్సవం అనంతరం మధ్యాహ్నం 12 గంటల నుండి రథమండపంలో అమ్మవారికి శాస్త్రోక్తంగా స్నపన తిరుమంజనం నిర్వహించారు. ఇందులో పసుపు, చందనం, పాలు, పెరుగు, తేనె, పన్నీరు, వివిధ రకాల ఫలాలతో అభిషేకం చేశారు. అనంతరం అమ్మవారికి విశేషంగా అలంకారం చేశారు.
రాత్రి 7 నుండి 9 గంటల వరకు అశ్వవాహనంపై అమ్మవారు దర్శనం ఇవ్వనున్నారు.
