Livermore Shiva Vishnu Temple events all organized by Hindu community and cultual center HCCC. The HCCC was established in 1977 with the goal of offering religious services to Hindu community. In the last 35 years the HCCC has evolved into an established institution as a place of worship with the needed services for the community.
Livermore Vishnu Temple is offering religious services for Hindu community both at the temple and at the residence of devotees. The Dhwajasthambhas for the main deities of the temple are usually installed between the main Gopuram and Bali Peetha, the seat of ritual offering. The Dhwajasthambha is considered as the representation of the Lord himself.
Bali Peetha is symbolically the place where the individual, before entering the temple, gives up his ego and surrenders himself to God. It is comon practice for devotees to go around the Dhwajasthambha and pay their respects brefore entering the main temple.

Livermore Maha Shivaratri Celebrations 2021
Scriptures proclaim that Maha Shivarathri is very auspicious time to worship Lord Shiva. Performing Abhisheka to Shivalinga with Panchamruthams (namely Milk, Buttermilk, Ghee, Honey, Sugar, and Fruits) while chanting Sri Rudram pleases Lord Shiva the most.
Staying awake throughout the night (Jagarana) and worshipping Lord Shiva is particularly pleasing to Him. As per Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada, one has to worship Lord Shiva to achieve salvation and that too on Shiva Rathri day. It is certain that one who keeps awake on this day will attain Shiva Sayujyam (attainment of Lord Shiva).
