I carefully pick a subject and make it my life Journey when I suddenly find myself focused on something else. I realized, after many years, that learning variety was my life journey.

I no longer worried that I might never settle into any one thing and decided to enjoy every moment, as much as possible.

I am wanting to appropriately and openly share what comes next. This, I feel, will be the best part of my journey so far. Spirituality has always taken center stage.

I started very going to church with anyone who would take me since my parents were not interested in religion or spirituality. So, with my mother’s consent, I went with trusted neighbors, school friends and my mother’s work associates to whatever church they belonged.

I loved learning about different points of view of Christianity. I realized through this that in order to make real change in the world you must know and make real change in yourself first.

As I matured in my years and in my faith, I discovered that no religion can take you to the deep understandings of God. That is a personal journey you must take on your own.

It is important to just believe that your inner guidance is on track for you. Do not betray yourself by discarding what your truths are for truths outside of yourself.

When I gathered the courage to go down that narrow path that no other person had gone on before I came into myself. I left fear for knowledge.

Many people talk about the dark night of the soul. This is not an event that happens and is over. The dark night of the soul is a beginning. It is opening up to your shadow.

It is a realization that you have a shadow side. And it is a realization that this shadow side, has always and, will always be with you.

I went through the dark night of the soul in stages. It was intense and unnerving because there is no religious teaching that I had ever experienced that prepared me for it. I had to trust myself. Once I did that, I was ten toes down ready for whatever life brought me.
