Productive Pain

Be grateful how you twist and turn every thought to one of Pain and despair, for without these you may remain lost. The desire to know your Self rarely comes from happy outward dreams. Why would it?

And neither are your circumstances 'God-given'. You may want to attribute your difficult circumstances to the idea that God is testing you and this must mean that you are ‘special’ – no, all are equal that has been created by the Source and Source does not 'test' what It created in absolute.

Your upsetting circumstance all live in your mind as thoughts. They are the ideas connected to what is happening, your reactions. Therefore, do not try and understand ‘bad’ events as part of ‘Gods plan’ for you, they are not. Your thoughts, your mind, your doing.

His desire for His Son is pure love resting in peace extending eternally. That is what God’s Son is, a silent extension of Itself.

So when the pain of your exiled existence becomes too great – and it shall if it has not done so already – you may cry out to Him for help. His Holy Spirit will answer. But maybe not in the exact ways you wanted.

Your own mind is all that needs His help and He will offer a reminder that there is another way to look at what you have made. He will gently place in your mind another choice from which your perceived circumstances can be viewed and become a sign-post Home.

For you do not belong in hell.

Invite His Holy Spirit to be with you, offering Him what you have made and He will help you forget its pain and use it to forge you another way of perceiving your circumstances.

With this seemingly new perception other pathways open up, and what was once a despairing situation becomes something you get through, taking you next steps exactly where they are meant to go, with an opportunity to meet your Self along the way.

This returning memory is the real gift. For He has not forgotten you and calls for your return. Hear this call in every twinge of pain, every broken body, every moment of terror you try to hide from. The dissipation of these imaginings lies not in confronting them, but understanding that it is an opportunity to answer the call to return your mind to Him. Peace is the mark of His Presence.

One day I will be Your messenger

For I will remember

I will remember Who I am in You.

And that is all I can ask of this life.

There is no other dream I can place before my eyes that can surpass the unceasing compulsion to Answer Your call in me.

No greater service to myself can be done than to let the memory of Thyself in me return.

Amen.
