Ways That Disappoint Your Customers!

‘Customer is king’ is a saying that every businessman follows whole-heartedly. We always want to give the best to our customers and hence we choose best eCommerce software companies in India who help us in giving complete solution to our eCommerce woes. We come up with alluring eCommerce store name ideas and design it astonishingly good and we allure our customers to the fullest. With each passing day we gain their trust and cherish a never-ending loyalty bond. But have you wondered why some online stores continue to fail in winning customer’s trust?

They kick start with a bad reputation and that can be highlighted through their Social Media profiles. Several stores still do not maintain that professional image and when you are online every person knows about your whereabouts. Not only this, but your social media presence is an easy way for customers to review about your services and products. Being in a public domain it can be seen by one and all. Several times, out of revenge customers publish screenshots of their ‘exchange of words’ which is highly embarrassing.

These things can crop up because of poor communication. Many a times, eCommerce websites do not mention their terms and conditions clearly thus leading to a chaotic situation. Also, when the customers call them for assistance, they do not give away clear information and there is no track of communication in any way. The automated email system is a very good practice to track your complain which is not embedded by all and thus losing your customer’s trust in the process.

Not only this, but several times, while on phone assistance, online stores ask too many questions which might be irrelevant to the query the customer has posted. It’s not only irrelevant, but also lengthy, adding to the lackluster response of ‘support’ team. To add to it, these online stores also ask for private details like credit number which literally irate the customer thus abandoning the shopping altogether.

If a customer wants to return the product he should be asked basic questions like – reason, address, but some online store will ask minute details about logistics. The customer does not know anything about logistics and they don’t feel important to maintain that data. Thus, they feel highly irritated when their actual request is kept aside and unnecessary information is given more importance. Using terminologies which are nowhere related thus forcing a customer to never return to that particular website.

Some stores also give assurances which are out of their reach. And if they are not fulfilled then be ready to face a ‘tug-of-war’ situation with the customers. Instead of undertaking such risks, don’t give false promises which will lead to their disheartening. These sales, discounts, offers, delivery of products come under this category wherein they make promises but don’t really follow wholeheartedly.

These are some of the ways which might be the reason that you might lose your customers. So, make sure you don’t commit them and shatter your dreams of a fruitful business!
