I’m happy to announce Microsoft Imagine Cup 2017 Regional Finals Evaluations plan in close collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, for teams competing from Pakistan. Keeping in consideration the demographics of Pakistan, the Regional Finals will be held in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta & Peshawar respectively.

In each region, a panel of up to 4 judges will evaluate the projects against the judging criterion listed at the end of this blog post. The panel of judges at each location consists of some of the brightest personnel from both universities and the industry.

Furthermore, each competing team relative to each region, is given the opportunity to either present to judges in-person at a specified date/time or join online at the given slot via Skype ID mentioned below.

Lahore

• Each team is advised to reach at Microsoft Innovation Center, Lahore (Office # 501, 5^th Floor, Arfa Software Technology Park) at-least 15 minutes prior to the allocated time (see table below).
• If a team doesn’t show up during regional finals either physically or via Skype, they’ll still be evaluated based over their submitted content on the Imagine Cup official website.
• Each team member joining us is advised to bring his/her original CNIC to ensure proper security clearance.
• Please bring the Imagine Cup deliverables (presentation, running software, video, etc.) in a laptop/machine that’s fully charged.
• In case your project depends upon additional hardware (other resources), you must reach out to me prior for security clearance.
• You can’t park your vehicles inside the Arfa Software Technology Park. You can optionally park the vehicles at Ittefaq Hospital’s parking and walk from there. Please keep the additional time factor in mind.
• You’ll be given 10 minutes for demo and 5 minutes for Q&A. The time may vary depending upon judges’ interest/additional questions.

• If a team doesn’t show up during regional finals either physically or via Skype, they’ll still be evaluated based over their submitted content on the Imagine Cup official website.
• Each team member joining us is advised to bring his/her original CNIC to ensure proper security clearance.

Due to missing contact, university or city information, the teams listed below are advised to immediately contact Mr. Usman ur Rehman at (Email: [email protected] | Cell: 0321.5048480) so that their regional finals can be scheduled accordingly. Failing to do so by end of 3^rd April 3:00 PM would result in evaluations at either location based over their submitted deliverables on Imagine cup site.
