Theres an easier way to manage school technology…

With the increasing amount of technology in schools today, many schools struggle to maintain and manage their IT assets, keep students focused in ICT classrooms, and safeguard students using School technology.

With IT asset Management solution, NetSupport DNA (Education Edition), this challenge has become a thing of the past. It gives technicians IT asset management features to effectively manage IT assets across the school’s sites; provides teachers with classroom management tools to leverage the full value of technology-led learning – plus, features a built-in safeguarding module to help maintain a safe learning environment.

The award winning solution now includes new updates and feature enhancements to all three toolkits, to further support staff around the school.

Helping technicians to save time and money whilst increasing security, the ITAM toolkit now includes even more features in addition to its inventory and licensing tool, power management, school-wide alerting and much more. IT technicians can now access a secure Vault component which allows storage of serial numbers, passwords or any other confidential IT data. A powerful Audit component is also available which allows tracking of all selected console activity by staff, plus, in addition to including powerful Remote Control and monitoring features as standard, NetSupport DNA also includes a remote PowerShell, Command Prompt and Registry Editor to make remote device management even easier.

Within the classroom management toolkit, the Teacher App for Windows 10 now includes a wealth of new Classroom Management Tools to help teachers leverage the benefits of mobile teaching. In addition to sharing lesson details, objectives and outcomes; monitoring of screens; and much more; a New ‘Class Mode’ connectivity option (BETA) is included which offers direct integration with the preview version of Microsoft School Data Sync. Enhanced Internet metering and control is also provided, including support for the new Microsoft Edge browser – as well as application metering and control of both desktop and store apps. To further leverage close integration with Office 365, teachers can remotely launch Office 365 apps (amongst others), with direct integration with OneDrive, plus teachers can also add key lesson resources and information from the Student Journal to a OneNote Class Notebook, if desired.

Whilst within the Safeguarding module, a new Video recording option is included within the keyword monitoring feature. Providing insight into student activity, the keywords and phrases can have can have individual severity levels set which control the outcome on matching: from a simple log of the activity that triggers an alert, through to capturing a screenshot – and also now a video recording – of the triggered event. These proactive alerts, in addition to additional safeguarding tools such as ensuring students can report any anxieties they might have, access safeguarding resources independently and internet metering, allow staff to take the appropriate action and supporting schools in their safeguarding and Prevent Duty obligations.
