New Features on Upcoming Windows 10 Creator Update

The Creators Update is the next major version of Windows 10, expected to roll out to the public for free early next year. The update introduces a bunch of consumer-focused features, including new 3D design software Do amazing things in 3D and virtual reality (including MS Paint 3D) , quickly connect and share with your key people, enjoy epic gaming with 4K fidelity and game broadcasting, trackpad gesture control, blue light reduction (like F.lux), Windows Holographic integration, new messaging hub that’s built into the taskbar and much more.

Microsoft's coming Windows 10 Creators Update isn't just for those who want to make 3D models or use pens to digitally sketch on their PCs. This gives you new innovations and gaming encounters, for the people who use it most. Microsoft said that the Anniversary Update is meant to allow everyone to become a Windows Insider with a specific order to test the Creator's Update to Windows 10, to see some new features like better trackpad gesture control and the blue light reduction control feature.

The Windows 10 Creators Update won’t be available in its full-fat public version until Spring 2017 Creators Update beta build will be available, which will give you a chance to try out some of the new features before they get the final thumbs-up from Microsoft.

Windows 10 Creators Update will be available to all members of the Windows Insider Program. To try the beta, you’ll first need to sign up to become a Windows Insider:

Sign up for Windows Insider Program

Then, make sure you already have the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. If you’re not sure, download the Update Assistant here: Download Microsoft’s Update Assistant

Once that’s done, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program, and then select Get Started. Follow the on-screen prompts to update your PC.

You’ll then be able to select your Insider level. If you want the new Paint 3D Preview, for instance, then you’ll need to select either the Fast or Slow ring:

Slow ring: (Most people!) If you are not a PC expert, but want to check out new features like the Paint 3D Preview

Fast ring: (PC experts!) If you like to be on the cutting edge, this is the right ring for you. The Fast ring is for the more advanced people who are comfortable dealing with software bugs

Microsoft will then put you through a Compatibility check – in terms of specs, you’ll need a PC with 2GB of RAM and either 20GB (for 64-bit) or 16GB (for 32-bit) of storage.

you’ll be able to install the build, although you may need to wait 24 hours for a new build to appear. If you want the Paint 3D Preview, you can download it from the Windows Store once you’ve got the latest build (Build 14901 or higher will do).

What Are New Features on Upcoming Windows 10 Creator Update

Microsoft said that the Anniversary Update is meant to allow everyone to become a Windows Insider with a specific order to test the Creator's Update to Windows 10, to see some new features like better trackpad gesture control and the blue light reduction control feature.

This feature may work similarly to the F.lux software. It makes the color of your system display adjust to the time of day: warm at night, warm around evening time, and like daylight for the duration of the day.

3D objects in Microsoft Paint 3D And Power Point

"3D" is a big deal in the Creator's Update, and Microsoft demonstrated the operating system's capability to quickly scan, modify, and print objects with 3D printers. This is the big one. Microsoft says it wants Windows 10 to be a home for not only virtual reality, but also augmented reality and holographic computing — aka the HoloLens. To achieve what Microsoft is describing as its "2D to 3D journey" it's introducing a whole range of new tools that support 3D content.

Also introduced was an update to Microsoft's venerable pack-in Paint application: it's now "Paint 3D." The application was shown transforming a set of pictures into a "3D memory," which involved importing the scanned sand castle model and then manipulating photos of the presenter's family around in it. The big tie-in, though, was with Minecraft—Microsoft showed off the ability to export creations from Minecraft into an online studio at Remix3D, where they can be modified in Paint 3D or printed on a 3D printer. Paint 3D also allows the creation of custom emoji and direct exporting of 3D-rotating images to Facebook.

In Paint 3D, for example, you can create basic 3D shapes, share them via SketchUp or to social networks, or even edit 3D objects you created in Minecraft and then send them to a 3D printer. In PowerPoint you can integrate 3D objects from a 3D clipart library, and then layer in movements (like spinning round a 3D tree) into your presentation. This is only the start, too, with Microsoft promising that 3D will be implemented across its "most popular applications" in the coming year.
The push for 3D isn't limited to Paint Microsoft demonstrated the use of similar 3D flare in Powerpoint. Specifically, the Remix3D community is available as an import source in Microsoft Office applications, enabling users to add 3D models and animations to presentations and other documents (just in case your Powerpoint presentations weren't big enough already).

Windows 10 Creator Update - New Improvements on Action Center

In the Creators Update of Windows 10, Microsoft has some changes to its Action Center Some of the quick actions have been refreshed, but the big change is sliders for both screen brightness and volume sliders. Windows 10 users will welcome this change, as you'll now finally be able to adjust these in smaller increments than the 25 percent levels that are currently offered as quick actions.

Also Microsoft is making changes to its notifications center (Action Center) in the Windows 10 Creators Update

Windows 10 Creator Update More in store

In Windows 10, Microsoft gives you the option of selling the themes in the Windows Store.
Microsoft is going to start selling themes for Windows 10 in the Windows Store. As part of the custom accent color options, the software maker is adding a "personalization" section to the Windows Store, complete with collections of themes that are designed to change the appearance of Windows 10. Some of the collections include Minecraft and League of Legends themes, and it's possible these custom themes could extend over to the dashboard for Xbox One consoles.

Rumored Windows 10 features that Microsoft didn't show off on stage today include the Office Hub, which should provide tighter integration between Windows 10 and Office 365, with Office now gaining a panel (similar to the one that pen-based apps received in the Anniversary Update) that provides direct access to apps and recent documents. We also saw nothing of Working Sets, another productivity feature that is supposed to allow groups of related documents and files to be handled as a unit; they can be pinned to the Start menu or task bar.

BUILT-IN GAME BROADCASTING AND TOURNAMENTS

Windows 10 is the best platform for gaming including 4K Ultra HD gaming. This upcoming update continues the trend, adding several new technology features, and options that gamers can look forward to.
Some of these features and options are-
Audio improvements
Built-in game broadcasting
Custom tournaments

Whether users want to watch other gamers' broadcasts or set up their own live stream to share with others, they'll be able to do so using game streaming service Beam — which will come built right into the Windows 10 Creators Update. Microsoft says this will make it as painless as possible to create and access streams, and it comes with all sorts of features to let broadcasters interacts with viewers.
For more private gaming sessions, the company also unveiled a new service for creating your own tournaments with friends. Arena on Xbox Live software will handle all the administrative tasks like score tracking and leave users free to play.

Windows 10 Creator Update  Cheap Microsoft VR Headsets

Microsoft is also teaming up with a number of tech firms to make accessing VR cheaper. Partners including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, and Acer will be creating new headsets with built-in six-degree-of-freedom head tracking, and with prices that start at $299. The aim, says Microsoft, is to make VR as accessible as possible. There's no point in having so much support for 3D content if your users can't look at it in virtual reality, too. We don't have many details about these headsets at this point, but given that they're standalone devices, we're hoping for a better experience than phone-powered devices like the Samsung Gear VR.

The VR and AR headset support glimpsed was tantalizing but raised more questions than it answered. We don't know if any of the alternate VR interfaces for Windows will make it onto competing VR headsets, like the HTC Vive, or if there will be any compatibility crossover with SteamVR or Oculus Home. Microsoft and Valve have a fractious relationship—in 2012, Valve CEO and founder Gabe Newell described Windows 8 as a "catastrophe" that threatened to do major harm to the PC market. Microsoft's development of the Windows Store means that it is in direct competition with Valve and its Steam store, putting the two companies in direct competition with one another, in spite of their interdependence.

Windows 10 Creator Update  Windows Defender Update

In Creators Update of Windows 10, Microsoft is exchanging up the UI of Windows Defender to match the rest of Windows 10. You can see the new display, as shown in the below diagram.

Microsoft is also updating Windows Defender in the Creators Update. Windows Defender currently exists as a classic win32 desktop app in Windows 10, but Microsoft's video appears to show a Defender app that looks a lot like a universal app. If Microsoft does move Defender to the universal platform then it's one more step from preventing the jarring process of having to shift between these modern apps and the old desktop ones for basic settings in Windows 10.

Windows 10 Creator Update  Putting People In Your Task Bar

In Microsoft Windows 10, the People bar is the faster way to connect and share with the people and contact with them. You can immediately access the People from the taskbar and you can also use apps, file sharing, send smileys, and drag-and-drop option This last feature may sound the least exciting, but it's probably going to be the most useful. In the Windows 10 Creators Update, users will be able to pin icons for a select number of friends and family right to the task bar. You can then drag and drop files to these icons to share them as quickly as possible, and this space will also act as a hub for messaging apps, aggregating communications from programs like Skype and email to make it accessible all in one place. And if you want to, you can even send an emoji-style nudge — it'll appear right on that person's desktop.

Windows 10 Creator Update New Edge Tab Browser

In Microsoft Windows 10, Edge has new tab browser feature that makes it simpler to navigate tabs with the page-preview.

Also Microsoft recently acknowledged that the company is working on a new Edge browser security feature that's been rumored for some time: Container-based isolation in the browser. That feature, codenamed "Barcelona," may or may not be part of the Creators Update; if it hasn't been tested sufficiently by "Spring 2017" -- the date by which Microsoft officials say Creators Update will be released to mainstream users -- it may become part of Redstone 3, expected in the Fall of 2017

Windows 10 Creator Update Groove Music Maker

Microsoft appears to be working on a separate Groove Music Maker app. Microsoft introduced a new music creation tool called Groove Music Maker. It seems to be a generally easy-to-utilize media creation tool that should allow you to create tracks without the need to purchase any new programming.

It's clearly a simple-to-use music creation tool that's designed with touch in mind. Judging by the brief demonstration, you'll be able to select riffs from a library, add sounds from different instruments, and alter the BPM and length of tracks easily. It's another example of Microsoft aiming Windows 10 at creators.

Windows 10 Creator Update  Accent Color

If you use a custom color for the Windows taskbar and other UI elements then you're about to get a lot more options. While Windows 10 offers a number of custom accent colors right now, Microsoft is going to provide a picker with advanced options and the ability to preview what your crazy color might look like throughout Windows. It's a nice change that will help people even further customize the look of Windows 10 to match a particular wallpaper or preference. Microsoft also appears to be adding video help manuals into the settings pages of Windows 10.
