Microsoft' windows 10 most recently announced that  Edge Browser will allow you to do something interesting with your VR headset. Microsoft Windows 10  Edge for will soon be adding support for Webvr and this will allow you to view the Web based virtual reality content in the Browser.
WebVR is an exciting new technology and eases the path of making VR more mainstream on computer platforms. Microsoft claims that WebVR is the next frontier in web graphics that will enable developers to create a wide range of truly immersive experiences for a variety of devices. What WebVR does is that it allows users to enjoy a full-fledged Virtual Reality experience with the help of products like Oculus Rift and HTC Viva.


 While WebVR is already supported in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, MS Edge, being a relatively newer browser, hasn’t had support up to this official announcement. WebVR support on Microsoft Edge will also provide dual-usability for the Windows Holographic Shell on Windows 10, which is expected to arrive sometime in Q4 2016. This is because Microsoft will allow PC users to make use of their Holographic service, making WebVR seem all the more viable.

WebVR at the moment has some level of support in the experiment builds of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, along with in Samsung’s internet Browser or the Gear VR headset. The addition of Microsoft’s Edge goes on to show some vital mass, which the developers will need to keep in account, as they go on to decide, if it’s really worth creating Web VR content.

The company has gone on to announce that it’s working with other companies such as Oculus, Mozilla and Google, so as to help in the development as well as an advancement of the W3C WebVR specification.
