Agile manifesto

In winter 2001, seventeen friends and at the same time representatives of the different Software development processes (XP, Scrum, DSDM, Crystal, FDD, ASD and others) joined together with the goal to uncover the best ways of software development. Despite the fact that each of them had own unique experience and view on the development process, this "alliance" passed several development principles and created a unique manifesto that is used to the present day. We know it as Agile Manifesto.

Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing
software by doing it and helping others do it.
Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on
the right, we value the items on the left more.
