I have listed out the entire process of setting up Google Analytics step by step. You can read and implement them without sweating much.

There is only one requirement for you to Setup Google Analytics that’s a Google account.

Step 1: Go to Analytics website by clicking here. You need to click on Sign in and then Google Analytics.

Step 2: If you don’t already have a Google Analytics property, you will get the setup page. There, you have to enter a few details like the URL of your website, property name, category, time zone etc. Time zone is necessary that Google provides you time-based reports.

Step 3: after scrolling a bit, you will see some recommended options. There will be no harm in ticking that check boxes. Then click on Get Tracking ID.

Step 4: Now, you have to integrate the tracking ID into your website. After the above step, you will get a tracking ID followed by UA- .

If you are using WordPress, the integration is way too easier. You can install Google Analytics plugin and manually enter the tracking code to verify the property.

For other static or blogger websites, you need to copy the code just after the tracking ID. Then, check the site codes for </head> tag. And simply, paste it there. Then Save template or the code.

That’s all. It is possible to insert a second admin to track the traffic details as well.
