Creating an avatar image is an interesting and easy process. It doesn’t require much knowledge about Photoshop. Are you newbie for Photoshop and don’t know how to Create your own avatar profile? Don’t worry!! In this tutorial, I am going to guide you to create your own avatar image in few simple steps.

To create avatar profile, we are going to use “Quick selection tool” for selecting process and “layer style-> colour overlay” to change the colour. Let’s see how to do it.

Create Your Own Avatar Profile Image:

Step 1: Select an image from your collection and open it in Photoshop. Crop the image by using “Crop tool” in the left tool bar or simply press “C”.

Step 2: Select the “Quick selection tool” in the left side tool bar or simply press “W”. Select the Image by dragging cursor over the Image. If you can’t select the image zoom it (“ctrl” “+”) and make the selection process.

Step 3: After completing the selecting process, copy and paste it (“Ctrl” “C” and “Ctrl” “V”). You can find new layer (Layer 1) is created in the right-side bar.

Step 4: Using selection tool, select the dress region, copy and paste it (“Ctrl” “C” and “Ctrl” “V”). You can find new layer (Layer 2) is created in the right-side bar.

Step 5: Right click “Layer 2” and click Blending option-> colour overlay. Double click the word “colour overlay” to change the colour.

Note: While using Quick selection tool, hold the “Alt” key to deselect the region. Use “Eyedropper Tool” to take sample of the colour.

Step 6: Select the Hand region, copy and paste it (“Ctrl” “C” and “Ctrl” “V”). You can find new layer (Layer 3) is created in the right-side bar. Right click “Layer 3” and click Blending option-> colour overlay. Double click the word “colour overlay” to change the colour.

Step 7: Select the face region, copy and paste it (“Ctrl” “C” and “Ctrl” “V”). You can find new layer (Layer 3) is created in the right-side bar. Right click “Layer 3” and click Blending option-> colour overlay. Double click the word “colour overlay” to change the colour.

Step 8: Select the hair region, copy and paste it (“Ctrl” “C” and “Ctrl” “V”). You can find new layer (Layer 4) is created in the right-side bar. Right click “Layer 4” and click Blending option-> colour overlay. Double click the word “colour overlay” to change the colour.

Now we have successfully make my own avatar image. Save the image in “png” format. If you save it in “jpeg” format background will become white.
