For this tutorial, am going to create a glossy effect for the text “Crackaloud” and the define pattern is Indian National Flag colors. There are several step by step procedures to create this. Let us see how to do it.

Create Glossy Text Effect using photoshop CS6:

Step 1: Open new image 100×100 px document in Photoshop CS6.

Step 2: Select the brush tool in the Left Side Toolbar with desired px and colour (20px, orange and green colour). Hold “shift” button to create a straight line.

Step 3: Save this as a pattern. Edit->Define->Pattern, with desire name.

Step 4: Create new document 600×400 px with desired colour (Black colour background).

Step 5: Click “text” icon in the left side toolbar and enter the text you want (Crackaloud).

Step 6: Layer->Layer Style-> Pattern overlay and select the Pattern which you have to save.

If you want to add some other text, use the text tool in Photoshop and create a glossy effect. Here is the final image after creating Glossy effects for the text “Crackaloud”. “Ctrl”+”S” to save the document. In default, the document will be in PSD format. You can change it to Jpeg or PNG format while saving.
