Step 1: Login to your Facebook account by entering correct credentials. If you want to save your data, you have to access Account Settings and then, head over to General Settings.

Step 2: There you can find a Download Copy link. Click on it download all your data. You can also save them manually by saving the same into your hard drive. But it will take hell lots of time.

Step 3: Now, you have just saved all your data into your computer. The next step is to delete Facebook account.

Caution:- If you want to retrieve your account after an interval, I recommend not going with this step.

Step 4: You have to click on that button to delete Facebook account. Again, you will be asked to click a button. If you are sure to go with the deletion process, click right away.

Step 5: On the next window, you will be asked to enter a captcha and the password you used to log in to the Facebook account. You have to enter both of them correctly. If you face any difficulty in reading the captcha, you can use the reload button at the corner to get another one.

Step 6: And then, click Ok.

Hurray! You now know how to delete Facebook account. Soon after you click Ok button, Facebook will deactivate your account. But it will take 14 days to permanently delete your profile just giving you a chance to retrieve the account in case you want it in two weeks.

You can deactivate the account for the time you want by going Settings>> Security Settings. There, you will be able to see Deactivate your account option. Click on it and confirm right away. That’s all.
