WordPress has been developed a lot. With each update, it gets new features. If you ask how to filter comments by domain, IP or email address a few years back, I would have told you to use a plugin. But now, you don’t have to make use of a plugin as this option comes inbuilt with WP.

Follow the steps given below to know how to Block Email address from commenting in WordPress.

Step 1: The very first step is to log into your WordPress dashboard with the correct credentials. If you go with wrong, you will end up in incorrect combination notices. Use that forgot password link in case you forget them.

Step 2: Locate Settings from left sidebar and hover your mouse over there. You will get an extensive list of various Settings. Click Discussion from the different links.

Step 3: Now, you will be able to see discussion settings. Scroll down to the bottom in order to block email address from commenting in WordPress.

Check the image given below to see Comment blacklist option. This is what we are going to use.

Step 4: You can block comments from a particular IP, domain, name or email. Just add the email addresses you want to block in each line there. If you want to block emails of a domain, just add ‘@domain.com’ there.

And finally, scroll down to the bottom of the page to click Save button. It will save your setting to block email address from commenting in WordPress.
